Andy Studebaker credited with 2 tackles in todays Chiefs vs. Bengals game.  I'm assuming that since this game was meaningless from a standings perspective, he might have seen more action.

I was at the game with some former d3 teammates of mine.... I told them the story of Studebaker before the kickoff and though we only heard his name once, we cheered loudly for him and had to explain to the other Bengal fans around us... why we were cheering

I wonder if Studebaker 2 tackles last week if enough to keep him in the NFL next year?

Just want to wish everybody a happy and safe New Year with great happiness for 2009.

Glad to hear Studebaker is getting his chance in the NFL.  It's a great tribute to Andy and Wheaton.

You aren't getting a job in the NFL (or losing it) based on a couple special teams/clean up time tackles. He signed a 2 yr deal with Kansas City so he will have a shot to earn his spot this offseason and next year in camp. It will be interesting to see if they put him on a weight gain regimen to beef him up as a DE this offseason.

If this years DI college football season isn't the poster child for a playoff system I don't know what is. I think there are going to be 4 teams with a legitimate beef to be #1.

Utah
USC
Texas
OKla/Flor winner

That system is definitely broken. What will it take for the presidents to get together and see it?

Ditto!  Been bi@#ing about it for the last week and a half.  Once you experience a true play-off system, it completely changes your perspective.  Winning a bowl game that a team has been "chosen," to play in...............................big deal.  Doesn't mean a thing.  The only game I enjoyed was the Utah/Alabama game because of the way the Utes win embarrassed the BCS!  Afterall, the only reason that Florida is in the, "title game," is because they beat the Tide who held the #1 ranking for 5 weeks this season!

I hear that there's some nice college bars within a few hours' drive of Millikin. ;)

Florida wins...that'll do it for the 08 season.  Gosh, hopefully somebody gets wind of some recruiting news soon...I'm starting to tweak a little with NCAA football withdrawls here...(scratches arm)  Is it hot in here?

If you guys need a fix go read Keith McMillian's  Around the Nation-the Year in Review. It's on the front page and in 2 parts. Lots of great stuff remembering the season, how pre season predictions fared and even a predicted top 5 for 2009.

This may be the worst sports weekend of the year.   No football, no baseball, no real hockey...only NBA and a couple lame college basketball games.  Well at least its warm...wait.  I'm going back to sleep until March.
