Son of Tailgater-  That is too funny!  I can picture your Papa doing that to.  He is the type of person that just lives football and loves the carmaraderie with Saturday afternoons.  How are you doing?

CAN YOU SAY STIFTINGFUST? :o Then and only then can you talk tailgate.

You can't even breath the word  (tailgate) in Alliance...that is tailgate I mean.

Come on up to MN and see. The hospitality is out of this world.

And they can play some football too. ;)

And the Stiftungsfest tailgate at St. John's has a challenger at Franklin, from everything we've heard (and Keith McMillan has seen) this past season.

I agree.  The Franklin tailgate was very impressive.

Ittersagen mentioned in an SI.com article on small school sleepers for the draft.

Illini fans might also notice mention of Walter Mendenhall, who is incorrectly identified as Rashard's younger brother.

Ah, you beat me to it. Just saw the Ittersagen article this morning!

I am doing really well. I was laid off this month (manufacturing sales) but have a job lined up to start next week. I bought a house in Congerville, IL (Studebaker's home town of 500 people....I know, I know small world), joined the fire department here and am going to start coaching youth football in Bloomington, IL this fall.

I hope all is well with you and your family. I will hopefully see you at the Carthage Elmhurst game this year.

So that means you will now be a Titan fan, right?! ;)

(Well, OK, that may be pushing it a bit, but can they be your #2 team instead of #8? ;D)

SOT-  Congratulations and I wish you the best in your new endeavour.  With football in your bloodlines, I know you will be a success coaching it too.  Yes, before/after the Elmhurst/Carthage game I look forward to seeing you.  Good luck with the FD too.

I am sure your roots will be (and always will be) with the Red and Black.

I am getting married 6/13 and we hope to have a new house in the DuPage County area ASAP. Trouble is we need to sell a house first.  Know any buyers? :P  I would even sell to a (name the CCIW opponent) fan.  ;D

Definitely suffering from football withdrawal.  I wish there was a game that I could plug the radio equipment into and I could broadcast a mythical game.

At least the Hawks and Bulls are giving us something to cheer about now.

Congrats on the wedding early! Certainly it is a new exciting chapter in your life. I knew it was this year but not sure when the date was set. Hopefully the house sells and the new house transition is smooth for you.

I have received plenty of flack from Coach Rucks for even moving down to Bloomington in the first place....so naturally I expect to get grief and karma dings, haha.

I am looking forward the draft this weekend. I have been watching all of the over-analysis for months now.

NO!    :P

Thank you SOT.  Yes June 13th so I am down to less than two weeks of Bachelorhood.

I could hear/see Coach Rucks saying that with his eyes bearing down on you like, "C'mon,  hold true to your roots kid."   ;)

I know how it feels though as my Fiance' is originally from Wisconsin and is a big Packers fan.  I told her no Son/Daughter of mine is going to wearing Green & Gold.

I too am looking forward to the draft and in particular, looking to see a couple of marquis players and where the end up.  I have a couple of gut feelings.

Any Cardinals fans out there, perhaps you can enlighten me hear.  I thought I remember hearing NC was going to stop the rivalry with Benedictine to find (as they put it) a better opponent?  Do you know if and when this will go into effect.  I think 2009 they are still slated to play Benedictine.

I am keeping my fingers crossed for Pete and Wheaton.  Hope he can get hooked up with a team and continue playing.

Ditto!  I never thought I'd be this pumped about the 7th round of the draft.
