The disparity in attendance between the different countries is interesting.  Only 4500 at the game in Vienna.  When we played in Hamburg in '97 there was close to 20,000.  The trips are amazing even if only 100 people show up to the game, but I'm curious what kind of crowds anyone else on here had who took one of these trips?
Hail, Hail, the gang's all here, all out for Wesleyan!

Italy 2001 there was maybe 3000.  Maybe.  And the goalposts at one end blew over during the 4th quarter.

I remember hearing the attendance in Italy when Elmhurst went there was between 2500-3000.  The Italian team they played was not very strong, however as mentioned many times before- the experience is priceless.  Not just to experience a new country and play overseas, but you will never have another chance with your "peers" to enjoy life and the foreign culture.

With NCC opening versus Ohio Northern again, I thought you guys might be interested in what is expected from of ONU this season.   See link below:

I find easily offended people rather offensive!

With ONU facing NCC, Mt Union and Otterbein it looks like 0-3 is a real possibility. Although the game is in Ada, I would be very surprised to see NCC lose that one.

Dean Paul definitely has his work cut out for him going into this season.  Thats a murderers row of a 1st 3 weeks.  The rain kept the game close last year... NCC is very impressive.  Knowing DP, however, I wouldn't be surprised to see them start 1-2.  Lots of injuries last season at key positions means they were abel to develop some depth.

Though I'm not sure they'll beat NCC (I think Otterbein is the best chance of a win), Coach Paul doesn't fare too badly when given an entire preseason camp to prepare for a team.  The one thing is he can't use last year's film, presumably... bc it sounds like both teams were in survival mode with the elements.

Is this an unusually small recruiting class for Wheaton?  Looks small to me.

I would say it's about average.  Wheaton almost always has the smallest class in the CCIW.

I would say it's about average.  Wheaton almost always has the smallest class in the CCIW.

The largest recruiting class in the Bishop/Swider era (25 years) was a couple of years ago.  I believe it was a class of 38 players?

We won't bore all those on this board as to why Wheaton's recruit number are typically in the 30's, since it has been discussed virtually every year.  This is a very typical year - number of players in the class in the 30's, from all over the US, etc...
