I am guilty too... Been really busy!  Just was having a little fun.

On the Carthage front.  I think that they will match up well against Hope.  Their O can score and I think there D will be a year older and Much improved.

I also heard from a friend close to the North Park Program who was at the game sat, He said that this is the best they have looked in 10+ years.  I hope they get their 1st CCIW win this year, as long as its against someone other than Carthage!

Another side note... It will be interesting to see how carthage does against Valpo this year.  Last When they played Campbell (same conf)last year, Campbell had some freakish speed.  Carthage out played them, but gave the game away with 7 picks

Ok... now I have confirmation of how far out of the loop and how busy I've been.  In today's Triple Take under the heading of "Teams playing its opener that you are most curious about", Keith picks Wheaton for the following reason:

QuoteEager to see how the Thunder perform against Bethel for a few reasons. First, a top-half CCIW team vs. top-half MIAC team is usually going to be a good game. Second, we hear change is afoot at Wheaton, although we're sworn to secrecy until Saturday afternoon. Third, after Ohio Northern upset conference rival North Central – not to mention the apple cart – the Thunder is playing for CCIW pride. A win probably makes Wheaton the highest-ranked conference team until at least the Augustana game Oct. 10.

Ut oh... what does that mean?  Now I need to contact some people otherwise I'm going to go crazy until it is reveal tomorrow.

Even I don't know what it means. Do I need to go to Bethel tomorrow instead of St. John's?

I'm not ready yet to predict the sun, the moon, and the stars for North Park. Yes, the Vikings looked strong against Carroll last Saturday, but this weekend they have to go down to Terre Haute and face a Rose-Hulman team that won its first game of the season by a score of 61-24 last Saturday. NPU's got a tall order on its hands.

Okay, redman, what is your prediction of tomorrow's score with your Carthage at our Hope?  I'm not sure Carthage will put up 70 like they did last year, but it will be a tough game I believe even though it is a home game and the annual Community Day for Hope.

He didn't make the Jaguars' practice squad: http://jaguars.com/news/article.aspx?id=8179

The Eagles' website lists eight on the practice squad and doesn't include Pete: http://www.philadelphiaeagles.com/team/Roster.html

Hopefully he'll land somewhere before too long.

I would much rather see him on the playing field somewhere, but that certainly wouldn't be bad news for Wheaton.

It appears Bethel will have live video of the game today, which can be accessed here: http://athletics.bethel.edu/sports/2007/11/12/audiowebcasts.aspx

Thanks for the Link, Wahoo. I've been looking forward to this day for a long time!

Good first drive by Wheaton results in 41 yard FG.  3-0 Wheaton early in 1st Quarter.

Wheaton used no huddle and was efficient early in the drive before stalling in Bethel territory.
