Gee... you think NCC is playing angry after last week.  Granted they are playing Benedictine, but it's 42-0 with 2 minutes left to play in the 2nd quarter.

Total yards: NCC 358, BU 24

Just looked at the stats for Wheaton.  I mentioned the very young line up, particularly at LB.  Stats for 2 Sophomore LB's:

JD East recorded eight total tackles, including seven solos. He also registered three tackles for loss, including a quarterback sack and an interception on a tipped pass.

Linebacker Richard Jacobson recorded six total tackles, including a quarterback sack

Augie now up 42-20 and stats indicate they are dominating the game.

BTW: For next week I'll create a CCIW in-game updates board to keep this board clear of my and others play by play comments.

Just returned from watching the first half....totally onesided

Also, it looks like Wenger will be redshirting this year and coming back next year...Its a big blow and hopefully the Cardinals have some players step up and fill those shoes.

I had heard that Wenger was done for the year.  I was wondering if he'd reshirt and comeback next year.  While I don't want to wish too much favor on NCC, I would hate to see such a talented player go out in his senior season.  Fortunately for him it was so early in the season, unlike Studebaker who was hurt in the 4th or 5th game.

Now that it is 49-0, I would think Coach Thorne would start subbing to avoid additional injuries to key players.  Looks like as of the last drive, Fanthorpe was still in.

That is a huge reason he will end up being back...no one with that talent and work ethic wants to go out knowing they can come back and play.  It will be a rough year for him watching, but that is part of this game we all love...

I'm not sure what's going on... He has made his picks in the CCIW Pick-Em's.  I know I've seen him lurking by looking at the top right hand side of the board to see who else is logged in.

Very impressed with Millikin in the win over my Duhawks today.  Very impressive QB.  Totally different team than last year.
