Outstanding!  Another IWU guy. they are multipling like rabbitts. ;)I only hope that Millikin continues moving forward, because then maybe I won't be the only poster here.
I've been around for a while oldnuthin, but rather sporadically over the last few years.  I have lived out of state for a while now and do not get a chance to see many games, so I don't really like throwing my opinions in too often if I don't have a first hand view to support them.

I can see from your # of posts you have been around awhile. The gist of my post was not intended to be negative, just that if Millikin keeps improving i will not be the "lone gunman" for them around here. Just in the little over a year that i have been on here, the bulk of the posters have been from NCC & Wheaton, which I think is a correlation to the success of both programs. I am just hoping for more success to equate to more posters as seems to be the case with all the recent IWU posters. I have seen IWU 3 times this season and am very impressed with their team, staff and the way the go about their business. Good Luck With Wabash.
Sorry, wasn't taking it as negative, rather thought you were meaning new posters were coming out of the woodworks on the bandwagon.  True, football posters tend to be dominated more by Wheaton and North Central the last couple years, with Carthage making a strong representation as well.  As Ypsi and yourself point out, I'm sure posters have a correlation to success on the field/court, etc.  I think you'd find that the basketball board will have a much "greener" feel to it than the football board, given the level of success of the basketball program over the last 15 years.
Hail, Hail, the gang's all here, all out for Wesleyan!

Any chance of a video webcast from Bloomington on Saturday?
Why should you go for it on 4th down?

Unlike most conferences, the CCIW has regulars from every team, but posts naturally tend to be more frequent with success (though we were minus Millikin 'til you appeared).  If memory serves, Millikin is the only 'absentee' on the basketball board also - you stickin' around this winter? ;)

Sure if you would like totally uninformed opinions on basketball ::)

And that would differ from most posts, how...? ;D

I will say that there is a local kid that plays both football and basket ball that me and my guy are trying get to go to Millikin. Good basketball player, better football player IMHO, but I'm biased that way.

We can't get consistent Blue input on ANY of the boards.  It's not just just football and (men's) basketball; there are also boards now for baseball, soccer (both men and women), and women's basketball.  Geez, you guys won the freakin' national title in women's basketball just a few years ago, and the only people celebrating were OTHER CCIW posters!  Go kick some Blue butts and get them on board (pun intended)! :D

Otherwise I'm goin' back to my undergrad prejudices and figure people associated with Decatur probably don't even have internet (not that ANY of us had internet in the late 60s)! ;D

I am not sure if anyone has seen this yet or not but this is a crazy bouquet toss from Bethel College in the 3rd quarter while they were up 20-0:

Forecast in Bloomington seems to be great for a football game, does anyone know how the condition on the grass field is at IWU...I know it took a lot of rain before the NCC game and was soft.  A lot of rain this week hopefully it will be a decent track.

Does it help Wabash or IWU to have a "soft" field?

That's a crazy play. Looks great when it works, but what if........ :o devildog29 had posted this video yesterday.

SOT, did you see a couple of the guys you helped recruit and mentored (in more ways than just football  ;)) made the CCIW All Conference team? Should make you proud that you helped steer them to Carthage.

From the Kansas City Chiefs website:

STUDEBAKER IN LINE TO START
November 20th – 12:34 PM

Just two weeks ago the Chiefs saw S DaJuan Morgan make his first career start. This Sunday, it appears LB Andy Studebaker will join that club as well. With LB Mike Vrabel (knee) doubtful to play against Pittsburgh, Studebaker took all practice reps this week. He is backed up by LB Justin Rogers, who is also banged up (thigh).

Studebaker played the majority of the second half last weekend in Oakland after Vrabel bowed out to injury. During Studebaker's time on the field he made several nice plays including four tackles and a pass breakup while he helped the defense pitch a second-half shutout. He also looked a bit raw at times as well.

"When he got the opportunity when Mike went down I thought that he wasn't perfect, but with that being said, for his first real action it did not appear to big for him," Haley said. "He knew what to do, he did it, he made some plays, he attacked it and I think that those are all good signs. He had a good week of practice and I think that he's very excited to get the opportunity to play a bit more."

Studebaker's action last Sunday was just his second time getting defensive snaps this season. The other action came during a two-play stint at Philadelphia. Vrabel essentially played every defensive snap this season up until his injury in Oakland and, with Studebaker's primary back-up also nicked up, the second-year player from NCAA Division III Wheaton College will likely be counted on to play each and every defensive snap on Sunday.

"It feels good to get into the game," Studebaker said. "You never like to see injuries happen and that kind of thing. I'm just looking forward to executing my role on the defense and preparing this whole week to get the job done on Sunday."

I find easily offended people rather offensive!

Some times its hard to gauge on a board the meaning of a post. I am glad you didn't take it as a negative as it was not meant to be. Ypsi has invited me to the b-ball board but i am afraid my ignorance would be too much to take. Best of luck to your guys tomorrow.

Pantagraph article on the IWU/Wabash game...

http://www.pantagraph.com/sports/college/illinois-wesleyan/article_0aa2ce48-d62b-11de-9018-001cc4c03286.html

Q, at the end of that article where they list the game's broadcasts, they list HD Net.  I have to assume that someone at the Pantagraph just got confused since the Wabash-DePauw game from last week was on HD Net and this one isn't going to actually be broadcast there too.
