I would like to see a PPPOY award/poll on the front page. (post patterns poster of the year). At least a D3 all american team. Mugsy might even be honorable mention

No, I understand. I didn't want to leave a "field" option for that question or the OPOY before it. I didn't want to do it for the current question either, to be honest, but I couldn't justify including Wittenberg over Central or vice versa.

I agree with Pat. While the "field" option is a reasonable one it also provides an easy out for the casual voter/reader and the results would be significantly skewed. In addition, If (like me) you are a fan of d3.com and one of your guys isn't included, it may drive you to investigate the guys that are listed (i.e. buy/read kickoff) and get educated on some other players/teams.

That's smart marketing. :)

Monday night football at 7:00 PM on ESPN pits the Arizona Cardinals vs the Tennessee Titans...

Pete Ittersagen is #38 for the Titans and saw alot of time in last weeks preseason game vs the Seahawks.
Just thought i would let posters know in case they didnt have the NFL network and wanted to catch some of the preseason game.  I have no idea how much time he will get tonight.

I suspect he'll get significantly less because the 2 corners who were out last week are back and will take some of the time.

I watched the Titans/Cardinals game on ESPN last night.  Pete Ittersagen made the tackle on the Titan's first punt.  Kinda cool to hear his name announced.  However, a scary moment as he was injured and laying motionless on the ground.  Here is what I could find on it (It's in the notes section at the bottom of the article): http://www.titansonline.com/news/article-1/Titans-Top-Cardinals-24-10-at-LP-Field/33186fdf-ccc3-4ca2-a33a-19070d47559a

Fatherhood is going well and looking forward to fb season.

Elmhurst hosts Lakeland on Friday 8/27  at 7pm for their scrimmage.  I am most interested in seeing how Furco and the offense has matriculated and developed during the off season.

I see two people have thought MU or EC are going to win the CCIW on the main page poll.  I can honestly say I was not one of the two, so somebody else has the blue tinted shades on.  :o

I wouldn't invest too much time on POY's or pre-season polls.  Nothing has been proven yet and the season hasn't even started, so to me that is a waste of time.

Just a heads up that me and Mrs. matblake will be at the Wheaton v Albion game on Sept. 11.  If any of you are there, we'd be happy to say hello!

High probability I'll be there with 1 to 3 kids, depending on how the day goes.  Look forward to seeing you there.

Don't remember your kids ages, but brave man bringing the kids to Michigan for a football game!

I am guessing Mugsy thinks this is a home game? I don't think Albion is a popular vacation spot fo the family.

Massive assumption on my part... failed to consult the schedule.

Umm... I will NOT be there, at least with kids.
