Agreed.  Auggie and Carthage should have both received more votes that Wash U.  :P  Perhaps the AFCA voters think Wash U. is going to knock off Wabash after losing to Witt. 37-7.

Final in Michigan

NCC 52 Olivet 9

NCC w 521 yds offense to 153 for Olivet. Spencer Stanek threw 2 INT's in the first quarter and was pulled for Brad Crackel, who wen 13-17 for 191 yds and 3 td's. Jordan Tassio ran for 105 yds on 19 attempts. Wenger with 9 tackles including a sack and 2 tackle for loss.

Is that Brad Crackel from Oswego East High School? If it is that's awesome. I've wondered if he went on to play anywhere. He was a 3 year starting QB at Oswego East.

Tailgater, yes he is. He transferred from Western Michigan I believe last year. Here is his bio if you are interested: http://northcentralcardinals.com/roster.aspx?rp_id=3295&path=football. Always great to see another Oswego player out there in the CCIW.

He looked very impressive today.  Strong arm and accurate passer.

Nice highlights there.  Not really quite sure what you can take from this game other than it was a win.  Kudos to the line for the pass protection, he had all day to throw from back there.   Since 3 CCIW teams will have played Olivet as of Saturday night, let the comparisons begin!!!!!!!!!!!

Ok, so now, who is the starting QB for the Cardinals?   I despise the two QB system as it rarely works very well.   ???

They're all way better than Olivet.  :)

I don't know.  Anything to distract the NCC coaching staff and players is a good thing.   :P

Wheaton is in the midst of a 2 QB system once again.  It'll be interesting to see if a decision is made between the two following the Olivet game or if they stick to both QB's for the duration.

I've heard rumor that they will pick a definitive starter after the non-conference portion of the schedule, but then Coach Davis told Doug Rothchild in the post game interview on Saturday that they will continue to make use of both QB's.  Hmm... stay tuned I guess.

I'm hoping after Saturday we can say all CCIW teams pounded Olivet.  There is still one to go...  :)

Thanks for posting this CardinalAlum.  Always fun to see our local Oswego talent contributing at the next level.

Olivet is hardly a tool to use as a barometer for comparison.  This is no knock on Olivet rather, they are rebuilding a team with limited resources.

Exactly. If all three teams are vastly superior to a common foe, and all three of them pound said foe into a finely-grained white powder, then there's little to nothing that you can glean from those three games for comparative purposes. What are you going to say: "Ha ha! My team pulled the last of its starters out of the game with ten minutes to go in the third quarter, and your team only pulled them out with eight minutes to go in the third quarter!"?

BTW, did everyone check out the CCIW website makeover today? Looks good!
