Emma17,
The only way to get to the visitor's section at BW Stadium is through the NC stands.  That's the only way you can go so run fast!! (only kidding).  I do believe that we are all nice

Also, for your tailgaters, you can actually set up your tents, etc. right behind the visitor's bleachers.  I think you can actually drive and park a few cars behind there too.  Illinois Weselyan had their tailgaters set up there.   I don't believe that there are any bathroom facilities or porta-pottys set up on that side but you can set up your tents, etc. there.  If you need the indoor bathroom facilities and some warmth, you have to use the ones in the stadium, which are really nice and warm.  There really isn't alot of room for tailgaiting as the school is basically right in downtown Naperville.  The parking really stinks so if you can get there early, your chances are much better.

There is a small parking circle right off the stadium which is where all the NC die-hards set up.  They get there early and actually save parking spots for their family and friends so your chances of parking there are really slim.  Although the school is on break until January, it still gets crowded in the circle.

Maybe you should just stay home as it is a long ride home when you are not the winner of the game.  NCC WILL PREVAIL AS THE WINNER OF THIS GAME!  THIS TEAM IS WINNING FOR EVERY PAST NC PLAYER THAT HAS STEPED OUT ONTO THAT FIELD.   I personally hope that we treat your fans as good as we were treated at your house.

I'm thinking about making the drive in from Grand Rapids for the game on Saturday ... a chance to see two good teams in what should be a very competitive game ... the predicted cold and snow not withstanding.

I was looking at the Google maps satellite photo of Bendetti-Wherli Stadium and wonder ...

Is all the seating on one side or is there seating on both sides of the field?

What about parking in the vicinity of the stadium?

Any recommended eating places near the campus?

I'm sure I'll think of something else to ask, but that's it for now.

Thanks for the parking tips!  We are not able to arrive until 11:30am that day...So, im sure all of the good spots will be taken.  I was told to try parking on Jefferson, then walking.  Is that a good idea??  Are there 2 hour parking limits to street parking?  Just curious.  This will be my first Warhawk road game...can't wait!

Also, was your comment sarcasm, or did you really get treated warmly in Whitewater??

DBQ1965,
See above message.  There are two sides.  Cold bleachers on the visitors' side and really nice seats on the NC side.  Parking stinks as stated above.  It is basically a residential area around the school.  Street parking is allowed.  There is a parking garage operated by the city right near the school and a small 2 level parking area right off the stadium along with some parking sections around the dorms.

As far as eating places around the stadium, your choices are endless.  Just a block away is downtown Naperville with all kinds of places to eat and shop.

Hope you make it the game.

UDubDub_Boiler,

No sarcasm at all.  As I stated, I personally felt that we were treated really nice.   :)

Wow, great to hear!  You "NCC fans" seem like good people too.  My brother graduated from UWW about 8 years back...but, we grew up in Lombard.  I work in Downers Grove and about 50% of my co-workers are from Naperville...They have been giving me friendly heat all week long about this game.  I can't wait!

If you don't mind walking a block or two there is plenty of free public parking in the parking garage that sits between Chicago/Jefferson (you can enter from both streets). Regardless of what time you get there I would anticipate you would be able to find parking there, it's a big garage and the cold weather will keep the normal Naperville shopping/eating crowds down. That's probably your best bet for a spot if you get there after 1130.

When IWU was at NCC this year for their homecoming, they parked us behind the visitor stands. There was an entrance back there and by where the ambulance parks for the games with porta-johns there and we could stream in and out. I think that might be slightly more regulated in the playoffs though. Maybe with a ticket, they might let you in and out? Behind the visitor stands though is all grass and no pavement...not sure how that would be with snow accumulation.

I have noticed them allowing people in through that entrance, but I'm not familiar with what you need to be able to go in and out? I would assume just a ticket stub.

At that time, the city parking garage will be your best bet.  It is only a block away from the stadium on Chicago Avenue.  Good luck!

What if you have a wisconsin plate with UWW alumni stickers on your vehicle...same rules apply?

I better make sure my car alarm is on.  ;D

This garage charge on Saturday's?

Wags

Warhawk,

I believe the signs in the parking gararge say, PARK AT YOUR OWN RISK!  THEY ARE NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR ITEMS LEFT IN YOUR VEHICLE, NO UWW PARKING ALLOWED, YOU WILL LEAVE AS AN NCC FAN, AND YOU ARE NOW EXITING THE WONDERFUL TOWN OF NAPERVILLE, HOME OF THE NORTH CENTRAL CARDINALS WHO JUST BEAT UWW!  :D

You asked for it!

UDubDub_Boiler

Thanks for the parking tips.  Good luck 02Warhawk...I hope you have car insurance!
