Congrats to all CCIW All Region Players and their respective teams.   A great year for Wenger that was rewarded nicely with the DPOY.   I wonder if Coach Thorne was a runner up for COY?  Maybe Pat can answer that for us.

Ittersagen signed back to practice squad in Tennessee.

From NFL.COM..

Tennessee Titans  12/8 Pete Ittersagen (CB) practice squad addition.
Dominique Edison (WR) practice squad deletion.

I would think Wenger is a strong candidate for d3 dpoy

He definitely has a strong case.  He was the dominant force on one of the best defenses in Division 3 this year.   Every team had to game plan on how to stop #40.   Last years D3 DPOY was on a 12-0 team that lost in the quarterfinals as well.  I believe the nation has seen enough of Wenger to know how great of a player he is and that could give him enough edge to win the D3 DPOY.

If I had a vote, Wenger would certainly get mine.  I'm also hoping a certain Mayes from Wesley doesn't do anything to change my mind.

I absolutely agree.  Wenger is one of the few D3 players I've seen that I cannot find a weakness.  His technique is very solid.  He can go up against big linemen, can play low with the smaller fast linemen, takes great angles to the ball and plays the pass very well also.  His stats are amazing considering the backs he has faced this season.  This and his impact on his teams success should put him at or near the top of the list.

Well he is one of four regional d3 dpoy's. De Mayes from Wesley (17 sacks), DE Hedin from Linfield (22sacks), and kid from Rowan.  22 sacks is a lot of sacks but 127 tackles is a lot too!!

Now, as much as I dislike voting for a Wheatie ;), the poster(s) of the year would have to be Usee and/or Mugsy.

Don't think of them as Wheaties, then. Think of them as CCIW posters who, like all good competitors, stepped it up in the postseason and put themselves in the running for the award with their outstanding work on behalf of North Central and the CCIW in the face of a flurry of UWW naysayers during quarterfinals week. ;)

It was a joke, please lighten up. They are hands down the most knowledgable, fair posters on the board.

newcardfan,

Notice that GS did include an emoicon (smiley with a wink).  He was not coming down on you or being critical in any way.  Quite the opposite in fact...

Mr. Ypsi

I suspected it before today's game, but it is now confirmed: NCC's defense is MUCH better than Wesley's!

If the voters are paying attention, NCC should finish 3rd in the final poll.
