That talk might have actually happened, or it might be just talk, but as of Dec. 4 it was definitely not anywhere close to a done deal. For what it's worth.

Pete Ittersagen has been placed on the 53 man active roster for the Titans.

So question... is this the first time there have been 2 active NFL players from the same D3 school?

The Titans visit the Chiefs next weekend...If Pete stays on the active Roster, that would be one heck of a recruiting picture for the Wheaton Thunder.    Studebaker and Ittersagen side by side on an NFL field.

LiveStats to Stagg Bowl is worthless.  Stuck on 2:09 in 1st quarter.

Gave up on livestats, now using the following to watch the game on the internet (since I don't have ESPNU).

UW-W's Coppage with 299 yards rushing against Mount Union.  He only had 117 on 30 carries against NCC.

Well, today's game answered quite a few questions.  As far as I'm concerned, NCC was just as worthy to be on that field today as UMU and UWW.  The 2010 NCC football team reached that ELITE status.  Well done, players and coaches.  I'm sure that you've already got that nose to the grind.  As Jeff Thorne once told us: "LEAVE NO DOUBT!" in 2011.
I am a NATIONAL Champion, and I refuse to lose!

Interesting point Mugsy.  From what I saw today (a very limited sample I will admit), I think that NCC's offense would also have been able to run on Mount Union the same way UWW was able to.  Also, a UWW poster had said that the Warhawk defense was "under rated", but I think that their defense was far better than Mount Union's and was most likely the best in the country.  NCC's defense was possibly the second or third best (from what other far more knowledgeable posters have indicated).  I'd take NCC in a head-to-head matchup against Mount Union this year, but UWW would still win the championship.  A great season for UWW -- they certainly earned the trophy this year.  Congratulations Warhawks.

With all due respect to NCC (I considered them the #3 team since the Wheaton game), they don't have a Levell Coppage.  And, with all due respect to the Whitewater D, keep in mind that the Mount Union quarterback was making his first collegiate start in the championship game. If you want to consider NCC the #2 team in the country, go ahead.  That and $0.50 might buy a cup off coffee.  I sincerelay hope that NCC continues to play at an elite level.

Nick Biggee from Wheaton makes the AFCA All America team yet gets no love from D3.  No Tyler Langs, Dion Wilson or Scottie Williams.  CCIW is to good of a conf to not have any other players than NCC or a CC kicker on 4 different AA teams
