every time I think d3.com gets it right they make questionable moves with All America picks...
The Cortland QB as an HM All America over Meador?  He wasn't even the POY in region (McSweeney) and didn't have the numbers Meador had...especially against the CCIW...they missed that one bad.

Then they pick a Benedictine DL over Jenkins, Garza, Hates, East or Ramsay?  uninformed

McSweeny wasn't in the same region as Cortland.

The Benedictine DL has CCIW roots. He's capable against high-caliber competition.

It was a really tight call on that last QB spot. Pitcher was sacked least often and threw the fewest interceptions (one per 71 attempts as opposed to one in 50) and had similar yards per attempt. The NJAC is a quality defensive conference, so those are legitimate numbers.

Yeah Meador threw for more yards and had a higher completion percentage plus more "big" games.  Plus the ultimate honor for an All America resume in that he was player of the year in a region where many of the previous players of year were NFL hopefuls.....I'm not sure any of the CCIW Dlineman would have gotten chewed up against NPU, Kzoo and Wisc. Lutheran.  Pat doesn't like to admit when he's wrong.

I'm not surprised that the CCIW fans have a different opinion than our voters do. But someone asked and I provided the reasoning. You guys can make of it what you will -- whatever you think of the reasoning, it was not at all uninformed, as you suggest.

C'mon Pat, face it. You have to pay more attention to D3 football!  ;D

Again...Augie fans

Is Augie still running spread?

Any chance on a return to its roots in the Bob Reade Wing-t?

Until Elmhurst actually beats one of the top 1-3 teams of (x) year and gains some consistency,  I find it hard to fathom why anybody would think EC would be a team to reckon with.  Since 1998 when I first came to Elmhurst, we have had quality players, just have never been able to meld it into any consistency.

Augie ran the spread this year with very limited success.  Who knows what they will do next year, but I think there is zero chance that they will return to the wing-t.

That is too bad...the Augie Wing-T was a fearsome offense to deal with...They should bring in Greg King to run the offense from the Gun so everyone thinks they are running a "modern" offense!

Is Scottie Williams' brother coming to EC next year? I thought I read somewhere that he was thinking about it.

Whos to say the benedictine lineman got chewed up. How the whole team doesnt show how an individuale player does. He ended the seasom with 30tfls and almost 100 tackles, sure its the nac but yhose are above average totals for a dline man and he had 3 tfls against runner up mount union, showing that he can hang with the powerhouse teams. look at the bears theve had a horrible year and lost to crappy teams but urlac. Will still make the allstar team. No diffrence here

Merry Christmas or Happy Hannukah everyone.  If you don't celebrate either of those things, then I hope you are at least getting a few days off from work.  Peace on Earth everyone!

Yikes!  Don't hear this type of story too often in the CCIW.  Horrible story to read.

Kiss his senior year goodbye... well likely more than that, like 10-20 years.  Definitely won't help Elmhurst crack the upper echelon of the CCIW on the field.

Well this is an unfortunate story to read. Should be noted that this is a reflection of poor character content of 1 person and not that of the college.  While it is a setback,  the fb team and college will have to regroup and move ahead putting this mess behind them.
