Newcard, what time is the scrimmage at at Aurora tomorrow?
the scrimmage starts at 10, but don't look for the starters to play much.

I am really enjoying Kickoff too.  It is expansive enough that you can choose to have a perspective either nationally, regionally, conference wise, and team-wise.  Good stuff.  Also, good combination of interviews and columns.  Worth the $11 and supports the site.

Some of us UWW fans are looking at a weekend doubleheader- catch UWW at Washington in St Louis on Friday night then make it to the NCC v La Crosse game Sat afternoon.

I think the NCC - La Crosse game has the potential to be one of the better opening weekend games. I expect NCC to win, but I think La Crosse will prove to be a tough out.  They faced some really good teams last year and they are in year two of new coach.
Looking forward to it.

Btw- I'm still surprised Kickoff sells for only $11.  Too often I pay more than that for books that sit on my shelf and don't bring near the enjoyment.

I'm in the same boat as far as NCC/UWL.  I'm expecting a low scoring game.  Granted, NCC is at home, but in the past years going back to 2007 (Redlands 2011, ONU 2009, WashU 2007) they've had early season losses.  ONU was tough, just as UWL is expected to be.  I wish Wheaton were a bit more like NCC as far as some non-conference games.  Playing Benedictine, Albion, and Luther is a better non-conference slate than some recent ones.  I'm disappointed they discontinued with UW-Platteville.

I think the Cards will be tested as well  but I would rather see them beef up the non-conf. games instead of beating teams by scores of 60-7.  And I am probably one of the few who was disappointed in this year's kick-off. Oh well, to each their own.  :)

Hats off to NCC for a very good non-conf schedule.
Whether this version of Kickoff is great or not, it's like the fishing bumper sticker "a bad day of fishing is better than a good day at work." Any version of Kickoff- at $11- is a better entertainment value than most books I'll read.

I'm not saying it was bad, just that I personally was disappointed.

Surprised nobody has asked yet as inquiring minds would love to know....................
Where the heck is last season's freshman starting QB, Tyler Dicken?
This is indeed a (perhaps bad?) surprise.
Anyone know the story?

I hear it was a credits thing, did not return to school. They did look good in few minutes i stopped at the scrimmage. It looked like they had a few guys banged up, but I don't know if they were starters or not.
