You still have to play each game and the next game on NC's schedule is NP. I would like to think that Thorne doesn't run up the score in this game.

I think that NCC will do what they formerly did to BU and did last year at NPU. They'll sit out a few players with injuries. They'll try to open up a comfortable lead by halftime. Then, they'll get game experience for for the younger players, some of whom may need to play important roles against IWU and Wheaton.
I agree, I don't see too many starters in the game after half time(or earlier).

fair enough. Hopefully you don't trust your son's opinion more than his coaches or his teachers. Or I should say hopefully his coaches don't!  The fact remains 1.5-3pts is the home field advantage. NCC lost by 1. To quote a recent debate on TV, "...it's math".  :o 8-)

I blame my son-in-law for the Wabash and LaCrosse games, since those were the only games he's been to in the last two years. I jokingly told him no more games for him.  ;D ;D

Dang it! You just gave the Wheaties and Green Weenies a way to beat us. Tell your son-in-law to not accept any tickets to NCC games, they are likely to be sent by the opposition.

Then we should have beat LaCrosse :) and my son has never second guessed or talked bad about any coach or put the blame for a loss on a player or coaches decision either.  He just refuses to blame a loss on the location of the game, instead of where it belongs-the players. The entire group, he won't point fingers unless it's at himself.

I've coached girls basketball, and will sub for him.  Where should I send his tickets for the October 27th game? ;D

Actually, no. You lost AT HOME by 4 pts to Lacrosse. You would have lost by 5-7 up there! your advantage was already baked into your 4 pt loss so neutral field (which I am sure is what you meant) would have been a 1 pt loss at best for NCC.  Wheaton, however, had they played Albion at home, would have won! It's pretty simple really. Home team, add 1.5-3pts, math, remember?

Had we not turned the ball over on five of the last six drives, we win. I don't think we lose by 5-7 up there either.

I'm curious about the details of that science. I've heard it too but wonder what exactly was contemplated. Last regular season losses got Mt and UWW were at home. Granted they are small parts of I assume a big data pool.

Ghostbuster- I feel for Augie as Elmhurst was in this boat many times before. In fact, when I was at EC we lost 3-4 games a year by stealing defeat from the jaws of victory.  Sign of a young team making mistakes at the wrong time.

jb - You feel for Augie!? Really!?  ;D ;D ;D
