I'm cool with that plan, as long as Victor Davis refuses to waive his 'no-trade' clause! ;D

Victor Davis falls into the "untouchable" category as far as CCIW trades go.

I think Norm Eash could find him a position.

I don't want to trade Nick Anderson either!

And, yes, I've often wondered what it would be like for Victor Davis to try his good hands at tight end for Norm and the Titans.   He's certainly run over some people on the hardwoods where he usually just gets called for charging.  :)

Several of the other "bigs" from the Titan hoops team could probably give the football Titans a hand in this quickly more short-handed season.  Parker joining Tate?

Its really a shame about Wesleyan QB Gallik. He had an absolutely fabulous game throwing for 3 TDs, and running for 2 more. If it is an ACL, with the combination of his young age, and the recent advancements in surgical and rehabilitative treatment, he should be able to come back strong.
When I tore my ACL playing basketball several years ago my surgeon told me that if the patient is under age 30 a 100% comeback is the likely outcome following surgery and rehab, For age 30-39, the results are still excellent with post op recovery of 90-95% of the pre injury level, and often higher. If you're over 40, the road to recovery is tougher and usually results in about an 85-90% pre injury capability. And, as I said, that was several years ago.
Hopefully, luck will come into play, and the injury will prove less serious than originally feared. Good luck to Rob!

On another note, it was reported at the NCC-Carthage game that CC head coach Rucks took ill during halftime, and was then taken to the hospital a short time later. Lets hope examination did not turn up anything serious, and Coach Rucks is able to return to the sidelines next week. Anybody have any updated info on this?

I don't believe this had been posted yet...

Wow. Anyone know what's ailing Coach Rucks? He is a class act. I saw him struggling down the stairs from the Wheaton press box after the Carthage @ Wheaton game.

Thanks for posting that K'mark. Heres hoping for a complete recovery and unrestricted return for Coach Rucks

I'll second that. Tim Rucks is good people, and I hope that he's going to be alright.

Mr. Ypsi

While we're 'whistling past the graveyard' joking about how to replace Gallik, anyone ever seen Victor Davis throwing a football??!! 8-)

How about Nick Anderson - it's about time the CCIW had a 6'9" quarterback! ;)

I would trade Meador for Nick Anderson and a guard to be named later

Would you throw in Coach Nate Frank to get the deal done?

I would but he has a "no trade" clause and I doubt seriously he would consider waving that for the Titans.  He would consider it for a reunion with Nadelhoffer if you could arrange a 3 team trade?

Update on Coach Rucks-he is out of the hospital , but must go for further testing, as the cause of his medical problems has not been determined.

Coach Rucks is a great person and my hopes and prayers he gets back to full strength soon.  I do know a few years back he had symptoms of a heart attack and it was Elmhurst's Tom Journell who drove him to the hospital.    Hoping for a speedy recovery.

Does this need approval from the CCIW commissioner and players association?

I think we have an agreement in principle. Now it's up to the lawyers....the devil is in the details!
