Mugsy, oh for the good ol' Big 4/Little 4 days - Cardinal fans knew their place! ;D

Those were some classic arguments!    Cue up the music for my Cardinals since those days!  Come on....you old guys know the words!

If Thorne needs any tips on winning games in the post season over Wabash, Franklin, or the 2nd place OAC team, have him call Swider.  I'm sure you'll get your chance to learn about Mt Union first hand so no advice there.

Great idea!  Swider should have plenty of time this year to help us out during the playoffs!   :P
USee, I'd rather have you help us out.  I'm sure your hair is of normal length!   ;D

Ah, yes - good times!  I had forgotten that you were the poster I was arguing with.

IIRC, Carthage had just had a two-year run near the top, then quickly faded back 'where they belonged' ;); it did take me quite a while to realize you guys weren't just gonna fade away. 8-)

Now Millikin seems long gone, and Augie only sporadically reasserts themselves, and Elmhurst??

Big 4/Little 4 was a lot simpler!  And good (if you were Big 4)! ;D

The Ogdenites have to be considered the clear favorites.  They've proven it on the field time and again.  In this weeks podcast Pat and Keith indicate that it has been since 2009 since SoDup has won by less than a touchdown.  Football can be strange though.
Just one crazy bounce or miscue can turn the momentum. That's why I love this game. There is a lot on the line for both teams. I can't imagine either team not being jacked come kick-off! And it looks like a pretty good day weather wise as well, 53 and no rain. Let's go Cards :D :D
Absolutely correct that it only takes one crazy bounce or miscue!  Case in point, on the last play of OT in the MU/EC game, Millikin fumbled on the 1, after a great defensive strip/ball punch as the runner was going in for the winning score.  The ball went forward and landed at the goal line untouched.  A Big Blue lineman was directly over it and falling on top of it.  However, before it was touched, the ball landed at a slight angle with the tip towards the goal line (courtesy of frame by frame hi-def from end zone camera).  The result was a first bounce backwards and under the lineman's arm to where Elmhurst recovered at the two.  That ball falls two inches differently and EC has two losses and would be glad to be ranked 26th.

The point is games are won and lost on the field and the breaks will go both ways.  It is all a matter of timing and who has the good karma on that given day!  My gut says NCC will prevail based on seeing them both in person against MU.  Good luck to all and a three way tie would not be a bad thing at all.

I saw that North Central went with day-glow red pants on day-glow red jerseys this past weekend.  I have one question.
Does Barry Manilow know you guys raided his wardrobe?

I'm happy that I could stir things up a bit, proving that the NCC-Wheaton rivalry is still one of the feistiest in D3. And it's only Monday.
The rivalry is why I will be at the game...and NCC can be beaten ...Wabash Always Fights...

Feel free to get ahead of yourself.  As Obi Wan would say, "The game this weekend is not the game you need to win." Cardinals repeat, "The game this weekend is not the game we need to win."  8-)

Happy Tuesday ;D ;D

Ah the fire and the passion.

NCC will not be beaten by Wheaton!

The breakfast cereal will be eaten (that's Wheaton).

And so on and so forth.

(I love Bell week)
You win! You always do!
