Studebaker released by KC

http://www.kcchiefs.com/news/article-2/Chiefs-Sign-LB-Edgar-Jones-Release-LB-Andy-Studebaker/fa1f14aa-bea3-449e-89cc-323ab0de728a

Kinda wondered if that was coming given his continual reduced role throughout the season and then some LB signings this off season.

Hopefully it is for the best, as he seemed to have little future there.  Any rumors about interest from other teams?  Would he consider the CFL?

That time of year again...here's what I rounded up this morning for incoming North Central recruits:

Brad Kuchenbecker - DE/TE - Washington HS (IL) - Was first team All-Mid-Illini Conference Defense as a Junior. Broke his leg as a Senior.

Jack McCoy - LB - Woodstock HS - 3 yr starter. Chose NCC over Augustana.

Trevor Medved - RB - Triad HS (IL) - Ran for 981 yards on 77 carries (12.7-yard average) last season and led the Knights with 14 touchdowns.

Alex Ulmer - WR/DB - Valor Christian HS (CO) - fun fact about this one; he announced his commitment on Twitter.

When I was in school I believe only North Central had lights.  It was always more special because it was unique.  And because Wheaton always won the Bell.

....yet if I had to choose between the bell and the play-offs-making the play-offs is soooo much sweeter:) ;).(Not losing in the 2nd round would be even better)

Spring Ball is here and Bluejay football is back at Langhorst Field - Ready to Defend the Ring!

Head Coach Joe Adam held a press conference to reveal his 2013 student athlete commits (how cool is that?!!):

The player profiles begin at the 9 minute mark of the video...

The bar has certainly been set, let's see these young men raise it once again in 2013.  Go Jays.

It's a Great Day to be a Jay!

I still don't get why Wheaton took their foot off the gas.  Not so sure we would have fared much better against Linfield though.

Don't get too excited about any recruits until they actually come to camp (and stay with the team) and then  do something on the field.  ;)

NCF- Couldn't have said it better. Until they suit up in September anything/everything can (and unfortunately does from time to time) happen.  That is why I never really put too much emphasis on recruits.  All of the CCIW schools have great Academics so Academics and setting alone draws a great interest from recruits.
