I thought I read the coaches chat/poll takes place  tomorrow...but I think IWU could be this year's sleeper if everyone stays healthy. What's the over/under on NPU winning a conference game this season? It's going to happen eventually

I really hope NPU could get a W and get competitive in the league. I have been saying this for years even going back to '01 when I started on the air for EC.  They have come close a couple of times at beating us.  I recall one (circa '05 or '06) in Chicago where they had the lead on us late in the 4th and somehow stole defeat from the jaws of victory.

The story on the MU professor does not belong on ths board.  But since it is here, the man has done everything right after a horrific episode that none of us can understand.  He has done great work at the school and in the community.  Why the paper in Texas decided to dredge this up after all these years is beyond me.  MU is doing the right thing by standing by him.

North Central picked to win their 8th straight CCIW title-but not by much. The coaches poll had North Central first with 47 pts. and Wheaton a close second with 45 pts. 3. IWU-35, 4. Augie-28, 5. Elmhurst-27, 6. Millikin-20, 7. Carthage-15, 8. North Park.

I think the top 3 are pretty obvious with Augie/Elmhurst having the capabilities to possible contend, but need to really play top notch from start to finish. (perhaps overachieve due to graduation losses)
