Latest forecast for Alliance is a winter wonderland.  With the noon kick-off perfectly centered in the middle of the storm.

WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY IN EFFECT FROM MIDNIGHT TONIGHT TO 10 PM EST SATURDAY...

THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN CLEVELAND HAS ISSUED A WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY WHICH IS IN EFFECT FROM MIDNIGHT TONIGHT TO 10 PM EST SATURDAY.

* ACCUMULATIONS... 5 TO 6 INCHES.

* TIMING... THE SNOW WILL SPREAD ACROSS THE REGION FROM WEST TO EAST LATER TONIGHT AND THEN TAPER OFF BY LATE SATURDAY EVENING.

* WINDS... SOUTHEAST TO EAST WINDS AT 5 TO 15 MPH.

* IMPACTS... SNOW ACCUMULATION CAN MAKE ROADS SLICK... REQUIRING LOWER SPEEDS AND GREATER DISTANCES BETWEEN VEHICLES WHILE DRIVING.

* TEMPERATURES... IN THE 20S TONIGHT CLIMBING INTO THE LOWER 30S ON SATURDAY.
Wow, this will change the completion of the game.  Question is, who will it favor? ???

Lower 30s will seem like summer to the Cardinals, who last week flew around in -4 degree game time temps with the wind chill at about -15. Advantage NCC!  ;)

Yeah, Massilon's got some pretty good digs.  If you really want to get sick, you should check out some of the facilities down here in TX.  There are kids who take a step down in facilities and they go from HS to DI, and they don't even go to Grambling!

Wow, Ryan actually took the Cards in the Triple Take...I was sure it would be unanimous the other way.
I am a NATIONAL Champion, and I refuse to lose!

Same...I was actually oddly confident about NCC's chances at the beginning of the week. Not sure what's happened since then but my confidence has dropped every day!

RobertGoulet, interesting about your confidence about NCC.  I'm a Mount Union fan and have felt the same way about NCC this week.  Not sure what it is, but feeling a little more confident about Mount this week as the week progresses.

Because the emotion of NCC winning big at Bethel vs. UMU struggling at home has worn off, and reality has set in for both sides.  The Cards have a real uphill fight------anyone can recognize it.

I got the same feeling last week as the weather reports started trickling in. The weather situation just adds variable that I don't enjoy. In fair weather, I'd be confident in NCC not turning the ball over, which is huge in this type of game. In snow, though? No one likes wet, slippery balls. ;D

And this. Not only that, but I'm sure there are still some lingering effects (physical) from the parking lot they played on last week at Bethel. A little different being tackled onto a cement-like surface in -4 degree cold than being tackled onto turf when it's 30 degrees. Not an excuse, just an observation.

I like it.  Bad weather makes the game more of an unpredictable toss up--- which is fine with me.

Cardinals working out at Massillon HIGH SCHOOL today.  Are you kidding me?

So the plan is working.....   ;D

Massillon's HC is Jason Hall, who used to play a little football at Mount.

Jason Hall = best OAC linebacker I've ever seen in my 25+ years following Mount.  And no, I didn't forget about NFL veteran London Fletcher.   J Hall was that good.
I find easily offended people rather offensive!

Statistics are like bikinis; what they reveal is interesting, what they hide is essential.

I second sidekicks invite to meet at Rey's for our annual playoff bash.   The best times are when the opponent fans participate too.   Even had fun with the Wabash guys, as crazy as that sounds......

Unfortunately Wheaton fans will remember Jason Hall. Great player.

Around here we call it the University of Massillon.  They have an excellent recruiting program.   Saw NCC at Mount Union Stadium this afternoon.  They only stayed about half an hour.  Probably wanted to get back to the nice warm confines of Tiger-town.

I just assumed that it was in a highly populated area, but Massillon appears to be a suburb of Canton? Can you call a town a suburb of a town that only has 73K people?

You have just delivered the greatest insult possible to the citizens of Massillon!

Canton and Massillon are 8 miles apart seperated by Perry Township.  It's really one metro area.  Were it not for signs you would not know where one ends and the other begins.  Massillon Washington HS, where NCC is practicing, and Canton McKinley are huge rivals.  http://cantonmckinley.com/content/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=123:mckinley-vs-massillon-football-history-qthe-war-of-1894q&catid=45:football&Itemid=90
