Cardinal, I truly can't remember the last time I ever did.

You are in for a great battle today.  Titans, been there, done that.

Good luck -- may the best team win.

Yes, NCC playing the perfect game, so far, blowing Carthage out.  I sure didn't see that coming -- so good on NC.   Surely surprised CC not playing better.

You win! You always do!

Yes, likely over 200 yards -- NCC playing an almost perfect first half.

Final week of the season now.

They went straight won loss and SOS for this ranking. No consideration of RRO.

I wasn't talking about RRO =- after all, Millikin beat Wheaton (who was ranked in the North), while Carthage lost to them.  I was talking direct h-t-h; no reason they shouldn't have used that.

But this week isn't really even worth debating anyway.  It will all change next week after Carthage VOLTRON plays beats NCC.

Ypsi, fixed that for you...

It seems the only thing VOLTRON beat today was that little thing between it's legs!  :P

Mr. Ypsi

Congratulations to NCC for almost certainly winning the AQ today (Elmhurst over NCC next Saturday would rank as one of the greatest upsets in D3 history).  I really thought Carthage could give you a tighter game today than they did, though wasn't surprised that you won.

We'll certainly try to hold you to a CO-championship next week against Millikin!  IF IWU wins, they should be a near-lock for an at-large bid; if Millikin wins, I suspect the CCIW will be a one-bid conference - I just don't see much chance for ANY two-loss team making the tourney this year.

Ypsi, agreed.

Really thought CC would give NC a better game.

NCC looked unstoppable today.  Great offensive variety.

Titans have to take care of business next Saturday @ home on Senior Day.

North Park scored early and often on both offense and defense to take a 30-0 halftime lead against Carroll in Chicago.  Final score:  37 to 6.  SR WR Norm Cupicciotti (Chicago, DeLaSalle) had two long TD catches with at least 50 yards after catch on both.  I can't remember if the D had four or five interceptions in the first half, but the unit did have two long INTs for TD.  David Simmons (Indianapolis, Southport) had two picks and I think Matthew DiFecchio (Lake in the Hills, Jacobs) had two as well.  Simmons' return on one was beautiful to watch it unfold.  He made the interception between the hashmarks and started slowly to get blockers ahead.  He probably jogged, skipped, and wove for 20 yards before sprinting to the endzone, untouched.  SR stud 1st team LB Chaun Maiava from America Samoa (he leads the league in tackles, forced fumbles and fumbles recovered, and is second in TFL) played another stellar game.  SR LB Austin Regel (Bourbannais, Bradley-Bourbonnais) was a force today today as well.  I think JR OL Zach Sandin* scored a TD on a fumble recovery.  There was a big pileup...I thought I saw the pigskin get free...and the way I saw the players react once the offense got back to the sideline makes me think he did.   Maiava led the haka after the victory in his last home game.  FUN!

*He's from Pflugerville, TX.  He's not the first Conway recruit from that remote outpost.

Thank you t-dog.
I think it was a very appropriate response to Mr. Voltron who quite audaciously set himself up as an all knowing authority who rather strongly predicted a certain downfall for the Cardinals.  ;D

Seems the VOLTRON can dish it out, but can't take it.
Or maybe it's Voltron's alter ego? 🤔 😏

thunderdog

Yeah, almost as audacious as your punter's twitter handle.

Sorry thunderdog. I have nothing to do with twitter, and have no idea what you're talking about.
