Big kudos to Sola Olateju for his record performance yesterday.  He will finish as the conference leader in total yards, yards per game and yards per carry while becoming Wheaton's all time leading rusher. He is a great player, leader and person and of the best backs I have seen play in D3.

Regardless of what happens today The Thunder had a great year and overcame  a lot this year. I don't know of many players or coaches that could have gone through what they went through and performed as well. Losing 2 games in a row in brutal fashion on the heels of much controversy, only to perform the way they did against a top 5 team in the country was a rare feat. Kudos to these kids and Mike Swider for keeping their house in order amidst chaos.

Never said this before but I really believe the CCIW has 3 teams that are top 10 in the country this year.

Also congrats to Chase Greenlee. His 5 sacks yesterday give him 15.5 for the year and put him 2nd all time in the Crusader/Thunder record books.  A doninant player at his position in every game he played, he has had an awesome career.

Hello North Central-SJU alumni from northern Illinois-should be a good game next weekend. Looking for any information on parking and tailgating policy.
Thank you!

Tough draws for the CCIW. NCC hosts SJU. If victorious, then most likely travels to UWO. IWU hosts Case Western. If victorious, then most likely travels to Mount Union.

IWU to host Case Western (10-0) at Tucci next Saturday, 1 p.m.

Wheaton didn't get in.  Looks like Frostburg State took the last spot.

From our athletic department -
Tailgating:  We understand that tailgating is an important part of the spectator experience.  As a fan, the tailgating guidelines identified below are designed to enhance your safety and ensure that tailgating remain a part of the sporting experience for years to come.

North Central College does not sanction the violation of federal, state or local laws.
Please do not block emergency vehicle access to any part of any parking lot.
Tailgating must occur only in designated tailgating areas on campus (Merner Field House parking lot or Highland parking lot).  Please do not block in residential student cars who wish to leave their parking spots during tailgating time and during the game.
Tailgating activities should cease at game time to ensure that campus safety and College officials can focus their attention inside Benedetti-Wehrli Stadium. Tailgating activities can resume at halftime, but fans should return to the stadium for the second half.
No use of glass/plastic bottles, cans, or kegs.  All drinks should be consumed using opaque cups.
Charcoal/gas grilling is permitted but extreme caution should be used.  No gas powered generators, deep fat fryers, or open fire pits are allowed.
Tents (10 x 10 or smaller) are allowed, but tent stakes may not be used on the parking lot surface.
No unauthorized sales activities are allowed on North Central College's campus.
Please clean up and recycle when the game is over in receptacles provided.  The area should be returned to the same condition it was when you arrived.

North Central College promotes a family atmosphere at all athletic events.  Please be respectful of other tailgaters nearby.
Visitors tailgate in the Highland Parking Lot. Marked on this map with a Z. https://www.northcentralcollege.edu/map

Hope that helps.

Perhaps the IWU - Case Western game is at Noon.  I'll check further.  9-1 Titans vs. 10-0 CW.

Should be a good one.  Seems CW had no close games at all save for the last one of the season.

Good luck to NCC vs. SJU.

I believe all games are at 1p local time until television becomes a factor in the later rounds.

Mr. Ypsi

I was delighted to see the CCIW get TWO home games in round one.  I think CWRU @ IWU is a very fair match-up, but I think both NCC and SJU got hosed - for the 'island' teams, first round match-ups like HSU @ Linfield are, alas, inevitable, but matching up two teams as good as NCC and SJU in the very first round, with all the other options available, is IMO inexcusable.

Too many 10-0 teams in D3 to give the 9-1s cupcakes.  Besides, cupcake games are less fun.

Thank you. Look forward to a good game
I realized the Z was for the Zip Cars there, so the Brainard and Highland intersection is the parking lot you'll be looking for to tailgate.

Yes, IWU has officially announced the playoff game to start at 12 Noon, local time.

Should be a good one.  CWRU looks tough, with a very balanced offense.
