  • North Central's play by play and color guy were a treat to listen to. Very knowledgeable, recognized great plays by stud players on both sides. Very unbiased in talking about officiating, etc. Not any undo homerism. Fun crew.

Thank you!! Very glad you enjoyed!
I am a NATIONAL Champion, and I refuse to lose!

Ha! Didn't realize that was you I was listening to NT. Were you on the play by play or color?

You guys really did do a heck of a job. Very professional.

Congrats to Bethel. They really controlled the LOS on both sides when it mattered. That was the difference, IMO. The long 3rd quarter drive and the constant pressure on Rutter were huge

That means the compliment was genuine! Very much appreciated. I was doing color commentary. The play by play guy really does a most of the leg work, though. Makes me look good. Lol. He's also an NCC grad, but a bit younger than me.

Here is another "fun" ending that happened on the Stagg Bowl field on Friday night.

My favorite all-time high school game is the Plano East (12-0) / Tyler John Tyler (12-0) game played in the old Texas Stadium before 20,000 fans in the third round of the 1994 University Interscholastic League (UIL) playoffs. With 3:03 left in the game Tyler John Tyler is leading 41-14.  John Tyler went on the win the Class AAAAA (top classification at that time) State Championship.

If you have 4 minutes, here is the original game footage which was broadcast over the Local Access Channel in Plano TX, Saturday, November 26, 1994.

Here is a more refined 9 minute version that was reported on the 20th anniversary of the game.

Sorry, Pat.  I appreciate all the work.  Just was trying to highlight CCIW players and coach and didn't mean to cut short website visits!

Congrats to all the All-Region Honorees.

Eric Stevenson is in New York City this week as a Campbell Trophy Finalist.  The lone D3 representative is taking over the Wheaton Athletics Instagram page documenting his experiences.  His roommate for the week:  Trace McSorley from Penn State.
