Hoping this hurricane doesn't get too close and they shut the campus down and thus the game is cancelled. Right now we are in the cone and expecting 90mph winds on Friday. That's enough to close campus by Wednesday night and evacuate Thursday. Stay tuned.

Sounds like the schools will need to make a pretty quick decision on Plan B.

I'm not sure that there can be a Plan B. He put a post on the NJAC board that, if I read it correctly, says that if CNU closes the campus all activities are cancelled. Apparently they lost (as in unable to play) an away game at Frostburg last year because of a hurricane.

Wonder if they could meet the middle...some D3 school in Ohio?  I'm not saying that is easy to pull off, just thinking out loud really.

If there is a Plan B, they'll need to start acting on it tomorrow.  Dorian is moving so slowly that 48 hours from now we won't know the full picture for Newport News.

That's true HSC. The game was at Frostburg and not in  danger of bad weather. However, the storm was expected to hit N.C. and turn north towards us, so CNU closed campus and that automatically cancels everything unless a team is already on the road. The storm hit N.C. and then turned south. We didn't even get rain here.

I truly hope we get this game played. It's not really about game day...game day looks to be good, so far.  It's Thursday and Friday that seem to be the issue. We are in the cone with expected hurricane force winds on Friday. If campus closes it will most likely close Thursday and Friday and not reopen until Sunday evening in order to resume classes Monday.

This would totally suck if this game doesn't happen.  This is a great test for us to see how we stack up against a premiere national power. Also, we have had decent luck against 5th ranked teams coming in from out of state.  ;D

Pretty much how it goes for 10-team conferences.

Really? What am I missing from 2018? This has five conference games, no byes, every week from 3-11.

The season hasn't even started yet, and Carroll's head coach Mark Krzykowski is already a lame duck. The athletic department carousel in Waukesha continues to turn.
