I'd recommend tweeting your dissatisfaction at @stretchinternet so they can see it.
Unfortunately I don't use Twitter, but I did mention it on IWU Facebook and reported the issue on Stretch.  It's honestly worse than terrible. It gives me negative enjoyment. I'm actually in a worse mood trying to watch it than if I just turn it off. It's embarrasingly bad.
Hail, Hail, the gang's all here, all out for Wesleyan!

Augie goes down 21-17 to IWU. Augie had a final play from the IWU 10 yard line to win the game, but chose to throw a swing pass to a RB at the 5 yard line which was dropped.  Wouldn't have scored had he caught it.  The clock management/play calling at the end of the 1st half and on the last drive was horrendous.  Despite playing well, this cost them the game.

I did this, for whatever that will be worth.  Hated missing almost all of that game today.  (And it has happened before a few times with Stretch.)

Congratulations to Mike Swider for his 200th win tonight in Decatur. Impressive 62-0 win at upstart Millikin. The Thunder never really let up and Luke Anthony had his most impressive day 20-28 251 yds 3 TD's. TJ Williams ran for 106 yds on 16 carries and the defense held Millikin to 161 total yds on 58 plays.

Swider is 200-51 as head coach of the Thunder. He has been a tremendous influence on the program and the school. A huge influence to hundreds if not thousands of college kids.

Bell week has arrived!

North Park + Millikin 0

Two teams that have been unstoppable forces so far will collide head on next week. McCully Stadium is the place to be next Saturday for the Battle for the Little Brass Bell. Should be an incredible game. The normal huge crowd it to be expected, with even more due to it being Homecoming for Wheaton College.

Here we go!

I was hoping to watch the Augie @IWU game but couldn't see virtually any of it. I saw parts of the last drive by Augie and that was it. I really wanted to get a look at Augie, who appears much improved particularly on defense. They held the IWU offense to 14 points yesterday and the Augie offense outgained IWU 437yds to 354.

I do think IWU is struggling a bit for whatever reason. I know they have had some injuries on the offensive line. Augie does appear to be ready to compete with the best teams in the league, at least Steve Bell thinks so:

"I knew we could play with anybody. We didn't need this game to prove that," said Bell. "I know we're a good football team, and unfortunately this is a game we should have won. We had the opportunities to win this game and our defense played well enough to win this game."

Augie is home vs Millikin this week before traveling to NCC a week from Saturday.

A good football team takes advantage of the opportunities they have and walks out of Bloomington with the win after outplaying their opponent.  Augie is definitely improved, but until they can actually beat someone (besides the the generally weak opponents that all of the wins in Coach Bell's tenure have come against), They shouldn't expect anyone to recognize them as a good football team.  The good football teams in the CCIW win that game yesterday.

Augie6- is it safe to say Steve Bell hasn't yet won you over?  8-)

USee - Definitely safe to say that.  Year 5 of his tenure and still not one notable win on his resume at Augie.  They do seem to be an improved team this year and I think they have a pretty good chance of having at least a .500 record and could potentially have a winning record.  All that is nice, but not want I anticipated when he was hired.  Let's not forgot that his predecessor went 5-5 for three straight years prior to Bell taking over, a mark that he has been unable to reach in his first 4 seasons.  Not sure how anyone could be satisfied with a 5-5 or 6-4 record after 5 years.  If they could finish 7-3 and beat one of NCC, Wheaton or Wash U, I would feel better about their progress.  Short of that, not much to be excited about from a results standpoint.

I got a nice note back from IWU's new SID, saying she is going to explore options.  IWU's Stretch contract is up at the end of this school year.

Is there a consensus on what the best streaming platform is?  I'd love to give her that intel if there is agreement.

Wabash has streamed games on Livestream over the past few years, and this year is streaming through what looks like some joint situation run by Blue Frame and Team1Sports.  Yesterday was the first stream through the Team1Sports site.  Perfect? No.  The production team at Wabash had some stumbles with graphics, the clock was a little weird at times- all stuff that will get ironed out as the team gets used to Blue Frame's platform.  But the one thing that never happened was the swirling circle of despair.  What happened yesterday with Stretch has happened before and, I'll bet a dollar, will happen again this season.  Their platform has become so reliably unreliable, that whenever I click a video link and it shoots me into a Stretch portal, I just assume that I'm probably not going to see significant chunks of the game.  It's great that IWU is exploring alternatives.  There are some really good ones out there that give viewers much less grief than Stretch seems to do almost weekly.

You can check out Wabash's new streaming portal here and see what it looks like:

YouTube, because, among other things, it's ubiquitous and thus easily accessible. But NPU has never had any trouble with Boxcast, to the best of my knowledge.

I'll second that. No streaming-platform service comes close to the number of buffering problems that Stretch has. Carroll, which also uses Stretch, seems to have more issues with it than even Illinois Wesleyan does. I tried watching a Carthage @ Carroll soccer match on Saturday evening while switching back and forth to a Wheaton @ Elmhurst soccer match on YouTube, and the Stretch-platformed match at Schaefer kept buffering for up to 30 seconds at a time when I'd switch over to it, while the YouTube-platformed match at Langhorst had no problem instantly giving me the picture and audio when I switched over to it.

It's not the first time that games from Carroll have dropped out due to buffering, either -- and I've had to deal with "the swirling circle of despair" even in situations when a game at Carroll was the only one that I was trying to watch. I'll occasionally get these problems with IWU-hosted contests, too, but it's particularly bad at Carroll.

For some unknown reason, Augustana -- the CCIW's other Stretch school -- doesn't seem to have these problems. Maybe Mr. Stretch is a Lutheran.
