Perhaps you should have standing 2 feet farther left?

Wasn't my man who received the bounce pass.  Coach Giovanine would have loved the form on the bounce pass however.   ::)

I was attempting to cover Nick Price, who was also in the vicinity.  Game was played in very sloppy conditions, long before field turf, long before Augie stopped practicing on portions of their game field.

I couldn't care less about the Little Brass Bell game, but I gotta admit that I miss CardinalAlum and Mugsy bantering back and forth during Bell Week.

Yeah, this year was super low key.  No SoDup or articles about how dumb Cardinals are.  Or rehashing the fact that Mugsy has a graduate degree from NCC.  Weird...
I am a NATIONAL Champion, and I refuse to lose!

We hardly see Mugsy anymore as it is.....I would hate to shame him out of here for good!  Hahaha!  He joins USee and Steve Ryan as former Crusaders I actually like! (Bows head in shame)

Let's go Cards!!!

Disappointing, but understandable knowing the green you will be wearing under that red.

Big game today. I haven't posted much but have a lot of thoughts about this game and haven't really settled on an official take.

Strength on strength today. Stats and national ranks aside, I think both these teams have won convincingly so far because each of them has had the better team in every contest. Today I think its much more evenly matched in overall talent. In that case, matchups become crucial and the little things as well as mistakes can make the difference. Each of these teams will try to impose their will on the other. I believe both teams have difference makers on both sides of the ball.

Specifically, I am going to enjoy watching the NCC OLine against the Thunder Dline. And for guys who love the trenches, it will be a great subplot to watch NCC Left Guard Sharmore Clark against Wheaton's Defensive Tackle Dallas McCrae as well as Jake Holaday vs Ricky Strba. Those battles are among some of the best linemen talent in all of D3 every snap. Great stuff.

The two highlighters in this game will be Broc Rutter for NCC and TJ Williams for Wheaton. I am pretty sure Wheaton's game plan is centered on Rutter and NCC's is centered on TJ Williams. Those two need to have big games for their teams. To do that, the LOS is the battleground that must be won.

I'm looking forward to watching.

Is Elmhurst having audio issues today? I'm not getting any sound from the livestream from Langhorst.

(And, no, it's not my computer, as I'm getting sound from the other CCIW livestreams today.)

Hate to say it but North Central O-Line great pass blocking technique.
Balanced square on balls of the feet.
Wheaton D line and all of D is to used to playing high nearly standing up and bullying lines.
Not today you have to be able to change levels and learn to play low pass rush low and use arm fighting techniques to not allow the o linemen to get hands on your body.
This is the same as karate blocking techniques used by players like Reggie White and the person who taught me Jim Osborne.

Is there a weather (or other) problem for the Augie/Millikin game?  I've tried both livestats and video, and the claim is that the game has not yet started (it should be 2 hours into the game).

BTW, IWU up on Carroll, 28-14 in the third.

Last I checked, Wheaton scored to tie NCC, 14-14, in the third.

It was indeed a weather delay in Rock Island - they are finally kicking off with very few fans in the stands!

IWU finally pulling away; now 42-14.

Barring a late comeback by NCC, it looks like Wheaton is in the drivers' seat for the title - now up 35-21.
