Carroll announcer is talented but very lazy. Has yet to prounounce a Wheaton players name correctly.  Doesn't realize Stone Watson is playing and not TJ Williams. Called Wheaton's head coach "Switter". Doesn't sound like a student announcer.

If you can't pronounce Wheaton names, you should not be behind a P.A. mic. In fact, if you can't pronounce Wheaton names, you may not be a native English speaker.

Has been calling TJ Williams name regularly on every RB carry. Even described his stature and running style. TJ is not dressed for this game.

Oh, so what you're saying is that he's pronouncing the names correctly (except for the coach's name), he's just pronouncing the wrong names.

all of the above. Wrong names, wrong people, wrong person announcing.

But on the plus side, the weather is infinitely better than last weekend.

St Johns loses 19-18 in overtime to Concordia-Moorhead.
Somebody should be moving up into the top 4.
Wheaton

Mr. Ypsi

With SJU and Ithaca both losing today, Wheaton's odds of receiving a #1 seed just took a big leap!

For sure. Still some road to hoe on that front. Tough to pry a 1 seed away from an undefeated East region team. Wheaton will be helped with WashU winning today if they can sneak into the initial RR this week.

Mr. Ypsi

A tale of two halves in Blo-No today.  Millikin won the first half, 12-7; Titans totally dominated the second, 33-0.  Whatever Norm did at halftime, he needs to keep doing it! :)

If IWU plays like that first half in Naperville next week, things will get VERY ugly very early!  If they play like they did in the second half, they just might have a puncher's chance at the upset.  (But you'd have to spot me a cart load of points before I'd BET on an upset! ;))

Cortland also picked up their first loss today - I think that only leaves Union (who gave Ithaca their loss) unbeaten, and even with Ithaca added in, their SOS is below .500.  Unless the selection committee goes totally rogue, I just don't see a #1 candidate in the east.  I think their only viable candidate was an unbeaten winner of the Cortaca Jug.

Salisbury remains viable because they're actually good and also because Oshkosh showed up for them today and has a decent chance to stay in touch with the regional rankings.

And if UWO beats UWW in the final week they will almost certainly be in the finall West RR, giving Salisbury a 2-0 RRO. Wheaton has an outside shot at Monmouth appearing in the West RR, which could give them a 3-0 RRO record and they will likely have a big SOS advantage over Salisbury and neither has last years playoff history to worry about. That said, I think it would be tough duty to pry a 1 seed away from an undefeated and #1 ranked East Regional team. Its a lot more possible after today for sure.

Mr. Ypsi

I forgot that Salisbury was still undefeated.  I can't recall: does the fact that they would only be 9-0 (vs. Wheaton being 10-0) carry any weight?
