Man we need the games to come if we are debating a game from 8 years ago.

Well, that went about the way I figured it would.

Good luck to NC going forward, bring home some hardware.

Central coming to Wheaton as they beat Oshkosh 38-37 in overtime.

Stagg Again!!

It was great to see North Central play well today against a good Lil' Giants team without having to rely on their passing game much at all (Rutter only had 19 pass attempts on the day!).  Defense also played better than the score indicated... especially in the 4Q when they held the Lil' Giants to 16 yards of total offense.  Cardinal DB slipped on Wabash's 38-yard TD pass in the 1Q.  Also, NCC's defense had clearly sacked Wabash's QB on 1-10 late in the 1Q, but when there was no whistle, Thompson scampered downfield for a nice 26-yard gain.  Without those two huge plays, the final margin of victory may have been a bit wider.  Looking forward to seeing the HUGE underdog Cardinals battle against #1 Mount Union next week (MUC fans are already predicting a 52-17 final score in next week's game!!).

Didn't realize that the Cardinals scored on every possession of the game other than when they held the ball and the end of each half... 0 punts!!

Welcome (back) to THE MACHINE!  Looking forward to this one.
Looking forward to our visit to Alliance again.  Hospitality and experience were fantastic in 2013.  Hoping for a different outcome this year, but fear North Central may not have much of a puncher's chance given how dominant Mount Union has been this year.  Your experts have predicted scores ranging from 52-17 to 56-35, so I would imagine that the Cardinals are between 21 and 35 point underdogs going into next Saturday.  Hope our boys don't get too discouraged with those long odds Skunks.

Interesting stat, North Central has scored a TD on the first possession of every game this season.

Looking forward to a barn burner in Alliance this weekend.

#1 vs #5 so early in the playoffs .... I'll never get used to the D3 system.

Regional #1 vs regional #4.  It is exactly right.  The Top 25 doesn't have influence.

Except the NCC has no business being a 4 seed.  Irregardless of what the SoS numbers say.
I find easily offended people rather offensive!

Statistics are like bikinis; what they reveal is interesting, what they hide is essential.

The seeding options in the Mt Union bracket were limited by NCAA travel rules.  Regardless of whether the Committee thought NCC worthy of a #2 or #3 seed, they couldn't put NCC & Wabash in the East pod of the UMU bracket.  Get over it and play the game.

Wheaton will have their hands full with Central this week. #8 in total offense. Their QB runs, throws, and generally makes plays all over the field. A lot of no back or 1 back. Good RB. Their defense doesn't appear to be elite (ranked #188) and gave up 37 pts to UWO yesterday. The #1 Wheaton defense will have quite a challenge at McCully on Saturday. Should be a fun game.

USee,
Jeremiah Tucker hasn't played since Carthage game. Is he still ok to play or did he get injured?  I always thought he would be another powerful weapon to use in the playoffs to bring in every once and a while against teams with good defenses.
