I hope those announcers doing the MUC-NCC game are students and just learning how to call a game.  Wow!

I believe they are either Mount Union students or affiliated with Mount Union radio. They are usually not this animated and normally have to find good things to say about the opponent. NCC is making that pretty easy today.

I actually think they're doing a very nice job! Watching this really makes me appreciate the NCTV17 camera work and production, though.

Article from Cleveland Paper about NCC @UMU:

https://www.cleveland.com/sports/2019/11/ncaa-d23-playoffs-dynamic-offenses-clash-when-notre-dame-college-plays-at-kutztown-and-mount-union-hosts-north-central.html

Mount Union is No. 2 in total defense (186.2 yards per game allowed), No. 2 in pass defense (106.5 yards) and No. 2 in points allowed (8.10 per game). The Purple Raiders also allow only 79.6 yards rushing per game, which is 15th in the nation.

"Our defense looks forward to it," Kehres said. "Anytime you look at your opponent and you see eye popping statistics, the focus is a little higher. We had a good practice yesterday. The guys are locked in to what the game plan is and are looking forward to Saturday."

12:05 left in 2Q... Wheaton's defense is definitely better than Mount Union's.  MUC can't stop NCC on the ground or through the air so far!  Of course, NCC can't stop MUC through the air either, so this should be an interesting one.

MUC WRs are definitely a good as advertised... too much speed for NCC's DBs.  Gotta get more push up front or the track meet will continue.

At least TWO NFL-ready WRs in this game... Kamienski and Hill are the two best WRs in DIII.

I give a lot of latitude to student broadcasters as you are learning the craft.  But this group is awful.  I expect homers, so that's not an issue.  But they don't seem to be watching what is actually happening on the field.

A great program like Mount Union really deserves better than this.

Wow, was planning to go to the Wheaton game today, but due to the weather I didn't do the 2 hour drive.  Which allowed me to watch the Wheaton AND North Central games.  What a day!

Intercepted in the end zone!

Wow!  That was incredible.  Congrats to the Cards.  I believe that is the earliest exit for Mount in the d3.com era and I couldn't find the last time they gave up 59.

I believe Mount had been to the semifinals or deeper in the tourney every year since 1994 prior to today.  Which is a mind-boggling run of success.

What an incredible game! Big win for North Central (understatement, I know). Was thankful the Thunder put Central away in the 1st Quarter so I wasn't stressed about both games at the same time!
