I don't see anyone stopping North Central.... How far are you guys from the LooP? My dad grew up in South Central Chicago on Des Plains Street!   8-)

Your dad certainly lived an interesting life, because there's no such thing as "South Central Chicago". Perhaps he grew up in Los Angeles, which actually does have a neighborhood called South Central.

Desplaines Street is in the Near West Side neighborhood of Chicago, and is located four blocks west of the Loop.

After the game at Wheaton yesterday, while killing time before the airport, we ventured to Naperville and into The Lantern. Note to self: The Lantern is a NCC bar  ;D I visited with a few good natured NCC fans who were thrilled that Wheaton lost, I would think that is similar of how we would react to a St. Thomas loss. We ended up going next-door to Features for food & beers before heading to the airport. A good time was had by all!
As of now they're on DOUBLE SECRET Probation!

The Lantern is THE NCC bar. Glad you enjoyed your time. I hope seeing Cardalum streaking naked through the streets after the game wasn't too traumatic ;) Good luck next week.

Glad you had a good time-sounds like a neat place/great atmosphere. But, that is also interesting. I can understand the NCC fans feeling about the rivalry with Wheaton. However, maybe they were worried about another loss to Wheaton if both made it to the Stagg Bowl!😁🙂 Just kidding!

But..but.....but it was called South Central in the mid 1800's by the local Chippewa and Dakota Tribes and the Loop was actually part of the Oregon Trail.  ;D

Any Cardinal fans looking to make the trip to Allentown next week, feel free to send me a PM and I can give you some travel tips on visiting Muhlenberg. For starters, I'd look to fly into Newark and rent a car. More flight options and a relatively simple drive from the airport to the campus. ABE is the closest airport but finding direct flights might be a challenge. You'll find Muhlenberg a very welcoming place. I'd be willing to bet the Mule parents would be happy to have you at their tailgates.

Ah Features, spent many times there during the summer when I was home from JCU, back when I was first 21... I wished I had known you ventured into Naperville, I would have suggested O'Razio's by the train station!

Don’t understand this mentality at all. I get that there is a rivalry, but in the post season you want the conference to show out. Nothing against St. John’s at all, and I’m very happy for them, but wanted Wheaton to own that side of the bracket.

O'Razio's is where I hang out afterwards whenever I go to a game at NCC, because there's inevitably a long wait for a train back to Chicago on that particular Metra line.

Gregory Sir, should you venture that far Southwest, be forewarned South Central is no longer politically correct. The former has been divided up into many names that the populace doesn't even know the name of yet. Maxine Waters
