But doesn't the salesman win if he gets the big sale on the 100th try?

Some day, whenever, Frank will stand alone after picking the big one no one else saw.

Maybe

Sure, if money was involved

I questioned Frank Rossi earlier in the season asking why East squads haven't won it all in decades & he had a snarky comment, but refused to answer. What North Central is doing to Muhlenberg explains it!

Muhlenberg is a South region team.

Muhlenberg is a South region team.

Only by the NCAA's stupid region divides.  I would hardly consider Allenton PA south....
I find easily offended people rather offensive!

Statistics are like bikinis; what they reveal is interesting, what they hide is essential.

U can tell these announcers have no clue how D3 works. I cringe when I keep hearing "Muhlenberg is the best defense in the nation".

They are just looking at what the stats say, but those are soooo misleading.

How about 'you gotta bump him , you can't just let him release'?

I understand, but improperly labeling Muhlenberg as East region in order to take swipes at Frank is pretty weak.

Pretty sure they aren't #1 even via the stats.

Scoring defense:
1   Wheaton (IL) (CCIW)   13   12-1   17   11   0   0   1   0   116   8.9
2   Mary Hardin-Baylor (ASC)   13   12-1   16   9   1   0   5   0   122   9.4
3   Muhlenberg (Centennial)   13   13-0   16   10   1   0   5   1   125   9.6

More than time to get Kamienski, Rutter, Greenfield and some of the starters out of there. They have a game on Friday.

While we're on the topic of accuracy, Jeff Thorne's tenure is not seven years, and his record is quite a bit different than 52-21.

Despite some of the predictable laziness by the broadcast booth, they've shot this game incredibly well at a place where that's not necessarily a given.  I'll take a really high quality professional video product 7 days a week if the cost is having to self-edit somebody saying Muhlenberg's defense is the best in the nation.

Nope. This is ESPN. There shouldn't be a choice. It should be both from the #1 sports network in the world.

It's frankly not reasonable to expect two people who get one single D3 assignment per season to speak on it with the level of nuance and insight that somebody who is immersed in it week after week, year after year like you are does.  They're going to get some of the finer points wrong.  It's fine.

This is true for anyone who gets one assignment per year in a particular sport.  It's especially true for something like D3 sports.  Even with D1 mostly dormant this weekend, we're not going to get the A team for a webcast-only D3 game.  (Or the B team, or the C team, or...)

That said, it is reasonable to expect them to learn how to pronounce Sharmore Clarke's name.
