It's not worth watching to be honest. The Bears forced a third down. Otherwise, a complete blood bath.

I hear you.  But keep in mind that I spent four years in Naperville. :)

WUPHF

Oh, I get it then. Get ready for another fun postseason.

North Central is pretty good. Also, there is a pack of Mount Union fans at the game.

The feed, unfortunately, is doing nothing but buffering... :(

I haven't had any issue with the stream.   NCC dominating to this point.  Great to see Magnus Mayer back for the Cards for the first time this season.

Dominating is an understatement. I have never seen a college game like this before...

USee

NCC up 42-0 near halftime.

Wheaton has run 3 plays on offense and lead 14-0 in the first

Good quotes by Marre. Shame on those that want to take shots at a 21 year old kid. If IWU can top 100 yards rushing against Wheaton Norm will not need to use the "Magic" blue pill tonight (Shots at Norm are respected).

Who is taking shots? No one said anything negative about Marre that I can see.

USee

Wheaton 48 IWU 0

Halftime.

After leading 49-0, NCC up 49-14 in the 4th.

kiko

On the "let's run the ball!" front, IWU has negative 16 rushing yards early in the third quarter...

Tough one for the Titans. Disappointing that we can't put together a whole game. 1/2 versus NCC and 1/4 vs Wheaton is not going to get it done. Hats off to Norm on a great game plan. Sometimes scheme isn't enough.

Wheaton overall team speed looked amazing compared to the first few weeks.  Defense instead of just barely missing a sack or tackle is making what they were just missing in the first few weeks.  Jack Hibon again lead blocking on the outside sweeps.  Forget the score its all about the overall team speed being back to what is was the previous season if not faster in some cases now.  Luke Anthony moving much better and throwing some nice spirals.  Whatever it is its improving and starting to get back to his old self.  Wheaton is better than the first few weeks the downside so is NCC's freshman QB who is so fundamentally sound for a freshman.  He can freeze a defense on fake hand-offs like today were the rb was running to the out side while Lehnen, the qb was running the opposite holding the ball so long in the rbs pocket you couldn't tell if he was going to hand off run or pass it.  He is able to control the actions of the defense by were he looks on passes and all the other little things he does while being a great athlete.
Wheaton fans should feel pretty good supposing they make and are in the playoffs.  Wheaton is looking like Wheaton again.

A great game plan indeed 🤗. But, sometimes 7 points just aren't quite enough, and some adjustments need to be made 🤔.
So young hero, ask yourself............................Do you want to go to college, get a good education, and play (basketball)(football), or do you want to go to college, get a good education, and watch (basketball)(football)? 🤔 😏

Don't surround yourself with yourself. 🧍🏼‍♂️(Yes)

Who won the coin toss?

Today:

Augustana 48, Elmhurst 7 in Rock Island
Carroll 26, Carthage 17 in Waukesha
Millikin 21, North Park 0 at Foster and Kedzie
North Central 59, Wash U 20 in St. Louis
Wheaton 72, Illinois Wesleyan 7 at McCulley

North Central clinches the conference's Pool A playoff berth.

kiko

Since there has been a fair bit of Region 5 Pool C discussion here, this is how the ranked teams fared this weekend:

(Using Wally's rankings):

1. North Central defeats Wash U 59-20    next vs North Park
2. Central defeats Dubuque 56-7          next at Buena Vista
3. Wheaton defeats Ill. Wesleyan 72-7   next at Millikin
4. Lake Forest defeats Beloit 21-0        next vs Chicago
5. Aurora defeats Lakeland 38-20        next at Concordia (Wis)
6. Coe defeats Buena Vista 31-28        next at Nebraska Wesleyan
7. Lakeland loses to Aurora 20-38        next at Rockford
8. Chicago defeats Lawrence 66-0        next at Lake Forest

Since the region involves four conferences and two from each are ranked, here is the next-out team from each.  Likely Monmouth will replace Lakeland in the regional rankings next week; if so, the MWC teams will get a boost in their RRO creds from the extra team in that conference being ranked.  I do not see a scenario where a third CCIW team is ranked.

Unranked Benedictine (7-2) defeats Concordia (Ill) 49-21   next vs Wisconsin Lutheran
Unranked Monmouth (7-2) defeats Ripon 31-21              next vs Knox
Unranked Wartburg (6-3) defeats Neb. Wesleyan 50-14   next vs Simpson
Unranked Wash U (6-3) loses to North Central 20-59       next at Carthage
