Any word on the 3 NCC Olinemen who missed for COVID? Hoping they're at full strength for the Stagg Saturday. Judging by what I watched against UWW, they'll need every healthy body they can manage against UMHB!

We must have had the count wrong bc on the pod today Thorne said it was 2 linemen (RT and RG) out as well as Defensive Captain/LB Ben Wong. Didn't divulge whether they'd be back or not.

Originally it was LT Zach Fortier, RT Jesse Maples and RG Sam Pryor who were out vs Mt Union. Subsequently, it appears that LT Zach Fortier was wearing a different jersey (normally #67 but vs UMU #65) so it was just the right side of the line missing. One of the subs was Senior Will Ebert #72 and he has been a multi game starter for the Cardinals over the last two years.

That explains it. I went back and checked the video and couldn't figure out why I was confused.

I saw saw nothing on the HOF ticketing site about areas reserved for fans of the participating teams.  Can anyone from NC tell me if they sent special ticketing instructions to the respective schools?  Just curious.

I haven't either but it seems as most of the seating is General Admission.  They were selling Club level seats, which included indoor access, etc, but those appear to be sold out now.

I have been told that UMHB is the away team, so I assume that means UMHB fans and team will be on the side away from the club level seats.

A group of us purchased Club Level tickets this weekend.  We assumed we would just figure it out when we got there....

Are the club level tickets sold out?  I'm not seeing the option when I look to buy.

Must be.  Looking at the seating chart the club level seats look like they are up high and probably not the best option.  I have to imagine everyone is going to push down closer to field level.

I apologize for taking this off track.

I admittedly know less about MHB than UWW or Mt U. How does NCC match up?

I have watched a lot of both schools play over the last few years & also want to mention I think the 2019 NCC offense with Broc Rutter and Co might be the best d3 offense in history, right up there with Matt Behrendt, Jordan Ratliffe and Kumerow offense of Wisconsin Whitewater in 2014.

The matchup in this year's Stagg Bowl will represent the best opposing side that each respective team has faced this year.

UMHB's strength is the defensive front 7, it will be the fastest most physical defense NCC has faced this year & should have some success slowing down the NCC run game. However, I don't expect to completely shut down the run game like we did vs UWW and I think NCCs passing game & WR corps is more advanced than UWW so that will represent the toughest challenge for the UMHB defense this year without question. I also think NCC is built to get out and run and win one on one battles up front and in the secondary where as UWWs biggest advantage was it's size.

UMHB exploited UWW's defense with its speed avantage, I think NCC defense is a step faster than UWW up front. I'd expect NCC to be more willing to bring extra pressure & try and matchup one on one in the secondary, where as UWW was more so bringing 4 and playing umbrella D. Not sure how this will pan out, super excited to see this one!

I'm going to say if I was an oddsmaker I'd have this game pretty close to a pick 'em, two teams with respective strengths and both with championship pedigree.

I was leaning NCC before watching what UMHB did to UWW Saturday. Now I think it's a 50/50 game, maybe a Cru lean given how impressive they were up front on both sides. I think it's probably a slight advantage that UMHB has had the tougher road as well. Should be a great Stagg bowl, hoping both teams are healthy (and covid free) so we get a true good on good game.

Massey has NCC as a 55/45 favorite, with a predicted final score of North Central 31, Mary Hardin-Baylor 28.

Very similar to Logan Hansen, who has 55.9/44.1 in favor of NCC

Bill Connelly (ESPN SP+) has it at 38.4 / 36.1 in favor of NCC.  It should be a great game!

Yet he still has Wis-Whitewater ranked ahead of UMHB even after the semi final result, that's tough to agree with!
