NCC up 35-14 at half.

Turning point in mid 1st quarter as UWL was running in for a score that would have put them up 14-7 and the RB was stripped and ball went out of the endzone. Obviously with no replay we won't know if he was in the endzone or not, looked close to me and the other angle I saw video of was inconclusive.

NCC scored on the next play with Sacco going 80yds after breaking a tackle in the backfield.

UWL is explosive and their QB is a problem.
Is this video the other angle to which you're referring?  Here's a single frame, also from a post on X.

here is another screenshot as well.  Just an amazing play by Julian Bell, one of the countless he has made in big games in his career here.

Both screenshots posted by former NCC DBs, by the way.  Nice to see them applauding Julian Bell's game-changing play.

Dang.  That was tough to listen to for 2+ hours.  It was good for a couple of laughs though.
Holy s___ their QB was insanely good.  The O line had a good old time with our guys, too.  Not the cake walk we were hoping for, but a win's a win.
During the post-game wrap up the color guy mentioned that he is still recovering from a stroke suffered in the spring.  So let's give the gentleman some slack.  Hoping he continues to improve over time.

This makes a ton more sense now. Hope his recovery continues. Probably should have had someone else in the booth until he is back to full health, though. I personally thought the main announcer was pretty solid.

He did mention during the game that he had a stroke between this game and the last time these 2 met. I enjoyed hearing where all the players were from!

Now I feel like a total asshole.  Seriously.

Looking at all of the quarter final games, I wonder why every teams offense is way ahead of every teams defense.

cardinaldad

Well, we didn't know. I was thinking he either had a stroke, or was drunk. I applaud his effort and pray for his full recovery. HOWEVER, the broadcast was still terrible. I didn't think their play by play guy was that great either. I know they were broadcasting for the home team, but they were a little overboard with homering (if there is such a word) for my taste. My biggest beef's about the broadcast are: 1) the lack of replay. I thought replay was required by the NCAA to host a playoff game? Can someone refute or confirm that? 2) the commercials that cut into the broadcast of the game. We missed some plays because of this. 3) the commercials that were running with the video of the game playing behind the commercial. 4) the camera work was awful. The qbs were great with their fakes, but..........

Spitballing here but is it possible those 3 playoff games were enough to bump NCC's SOS and push them above Wartburg for hosting duties next week?

Depends on if the committee is using the same math they used to screw NCC in 2021 when they "recalculated" and sent us to Alliance despite NCC owning every metric at the close of the regular season or not. My money is on not. Game will be in Waverly, I reckon.

Dude.  The only reason that game was in Alliance was because ESPN didn't want to move all their **** to Naperville just to move it back to Canton.  Guaranteed.

I'm embarrassed when I read the ungracious comments of some of my fellow NCC fans on Twitter/X.  Keith McMillan now calls us D3's most annoying fanbase.  Wish we they could enjoy the ride without demeaning others.

Obviously you are watching. In my decades of following Cardinal football, this has to be the worst television broadcast I have ever seen. Commercials during play, way homer broadcasters, and no replay. Correct me if I'm wrong, but doesn't the NCAA require replays to host a playoff game? I know that the NCAA has a lot requirements for the playoffs and even more to host. This color guy needs some help!!

No. Nothing is required to host a playoff game, not even a broadcast, actually.

They use significantly different setups and different crews. Way more cameras at Stagg than a semi. And a crew wouldn't sit idle all week in between.
