NCC2010

Glad the rumor I saw ended up being true. Also nice that they released the schedule this early this year, last year it was not released by the NCC website until way closer to the season.  As RG noted, my assumption is this is a home/home agreement with UWO especially when you consider NCC needing 2 OOC games starting in 2026 with the departure of WashU.

It also appears they already updated the roster partially for 2025.  couple of things to note, Demir Ashiru is already listed on the roster and is the only "freshman" listed.  Brandon Bell a redshirt sophomore transfer from Winona State is also listed.  They appear to be the only 2 transfers that have been added.

And Danny Nuccio and Isaac Banker are both listed as Graduates.  I thought both were done playing so very exciting to see they are both going to be back for 1 more season.

Wheaton with an absolute brutal start to the post-Gio Weeks era.  4 of 5 on the road including the presumptive pre-season #1 and #2 teams in the county (both on the road).  woof

Wheaton only plays one team from the county in its first five games. And the preseason #1 and #2 teams in the county will include Wheaton. Wheaton will be DuPage County's #2 team, with North Central #1. Whether Elmhurst or Benedictine will be #3 is an interesting question.

I'd be willing to bet that it is next season and the season following, considering they played Wheaton in a home and away series the last 2 seasons.

It's listed on NCC's 2025 schedule.

Beat me to it; I just got the app ping that the schedule was out.

NCC hosts Oshkosh on Saturday 9/13.

Playing on September 13th at 1 PM. That makes perfect sense especially in the era of increased player (not to mention fans) safety. It'll probably only be about 90 degrees 🫠. The game should be played at 6:00. And if Oshkosh is coming in Friday, play at 11 AM. Avoid the hottest part of the day plus UWO gets home a lot earlier.

I could see your point if NCC was in the South, but it's in Northern Illinois...the average high temperature in mid September is 77 degrees. Referring to this as a player or fan safety is just absurd.

Ok finally had some time to put together the commit list for NCC.

Up to 35 commitments from what I have found, mainly from players posting on X.

5 QBs have committed, 2 transfers and 3 coming out of high school

For the accolades column, tried my best to just go off what each player had in their X profile, not sure how accurate it is.

NCC 2025 Commits

EDIT: I'll continue to add players as I see their commitments announced, another 3 committed yesterday to bring the total to 38 players.  36 from Illinois, 1 from Colorado, and 1 from Florida (Wittenberg transfer)

I can't overstate how unbelievably impressive this list is. 35 local kids from quality programs.

I can't think of another program being able to do this.

I like the hiring of Mike Heffernan.  Mike is a veteran, good family man, and a trustworthy sole.   I got to know Mike and his father a little better when I was still calling the games for EC.   I like that Elmhurst chose a true blue Bluejay to knows what it means to play for the blue & white, our traditions, and the culture both at EC and the community.   I wish Mike all the best.

Glad to see an Alum get that job. Hoping he can get the Bluejays in a better place. Need the conference to get back to a stronger top to bottom conference.

CardinalAlum- I agree. I was thinking it was going to be Furco, but just happy the selection involved a Alum.  There are some challenges ahead for Elmhurst to get back to respectability, but 1 day at a time.
