Doesn't Utah have the feather with "U" on their helmets? A Ute isn't a Native American tribe, is it?

I thought Ute's were two kids in trouble in the movie "My Cousin Vinnie!"

Was Utah on the NCAA hit list for having a feather on it's logo?

I'm surprised to here so many people picking IWU in the top 2 or 3 uni category.  When I played, and I guess they haven't really changed all that much since then, I always thought they were kind of dull.  I also didn't like the fact that we always wore silver pants, home or away.

Just checked the helmet website and the Utah logo does have a feather. How come no weeping and gnashing of teeth over that logo?

"The Ute people came from the north to become the oldest residents of Colorado. They occupied Utah, Colorado and New Mexico. The climate and environment of this area was desolate and this led to the Utes being one of the final Native American groups to live without European interference. It is not known exactly when or why the Utes moved into the United States but evidence suggests that they arrived from along the Rocky Mountains. well after all this babble.  Lets talk some real football.  Any thoughts about the NCC and augie game this weekend.  I think that augie will be able to control the ball and the clock while scoreing on the NCC defense.  I think the augie defense got a wake up call last week and will come read to try to shut  down the leading offense in the  CCIW.

                 I have to disagree.Augie`s defense had it`s hands full with Elmhurst and gave up twice the points NCC did.Ncc`s offense seems to be really clicking this year and no one has been able to shut it down.Also I think Augie`s offense needs a more balanced attack if they are going to beat NCC.With no pass threat ,I think NCC will shut them down.

Not saying they will or they won't but Augie BETTER control the clock because they do not want to play catch up against NCC.  They have the perfect offense to succeed in that keep away strategy.  It will all come down to who executes their gameplan better.  Boy, was that a genius statement.  But seriously, it comes down to can Augie keep the NCC offense off the field and can NCC's defense stop the running game of Augie.  Stay tuned!!
