your qb, haehn, has a great arm but makes some poor decisions at times. sherman gant could start for any team in the cciw. he is the real deal at wr.

I think that np wideout Sherman Gant should have gotten first team. Despite what np has done record wise that kid played at a higher level 6 out 7 conference games.

Having played against and hit all three linebackers (Pelkowski, Cichon, and Radke) I would say Pelkowski and Cichon hit harder than Radke. Yeah I know I played on the same team as those 2 but we had scrimmages, and trust me, were full go. However Radke is overall a better athlete. He is faster and makes more plays with his athletic ability. So I would say that the 3 of them play different styles of LBer. As for the CCIW all-conference picks, I think that they are right on. Yeah Cichon could have been a 1st team if there were 5 LB positions to fill. All three of those linebackers are tough and cause problems for any offense. To Cichon, Pelkowski, and Radke, congrats on a great carrers!

RedMen44,

Who was the hardest hitter you played against in your 4 years?   I assume you played from about 2001-2005 or so.

What's wrong, hscoach?  Pissed that you might actually have to travel to watch a Mount Union playoff game?

Wally, actually I'm kind of excited that MUC might have the chance to travel to Wabash.  I would much rather beat you on your own field!

In fact, I would much rather play AT Wabash, than play Augie at home.  Augie has proven in previous games to be a team that could beat Mount, and in fact I'd put Augie as a slight favorite this year.  Wabash has yet to prove to me that they're within 2 TD's of MUC.  Sorry if that comes across too harse, but that is what the last 5 years of playoff games has shown.
I find easily offended people rather offensive!

Statistics are like bikinis; what they reveal is interesting, what they hide is essential.

Just curious as to which WR you think Gant should have been chosen over?

To join in on the current topic(s):
Having seen all three of these guys play:
I believe that Pelkowski was the better defender against the run. Cichon was very physical as well. But Radke was a better pass defender as well as a decent run stuffer. If I had to take one of the three, Id take Pelkowski. This is a run oriented conference and just look at what Carthage did to Auggie, Auggie was held well below their season average and won the game on a pass. He also had 20+ tackles in the season finale.
As for Gant, I dont think he outplayed any of the other receivers, and he may have made 1st team had NP won a conference game. The guys that made 1st team also played at a high level and managed to win some conference games along the way. Congrats to all who made all-conference. ;D

Why was the safety from NPU left off?? He was first team last year and led the team in tackles this year as well. Was there a reason why??

Good call cardinal alum. I just didnt see how he went from 1st team to nothing at all. They won as many conference games this year as last....0!!

For all posters....   Radtke is spelled with a "t" ,   not Radke.

Im not sure what the player(s) names were but I would say my senior year (2004) being the fullback I would say Millikin's Linebackers hit the hardest. Every iso play me and a linebacker would blast each other. I must have had 5 concusions in that game alone. I cant remember the players names so maybe someone could help.
