65 and sunny this weekend?

Not quite.

Weather report right now says 46 for a high with a chance of rain/snow showers. :)

All-conference players returning next year...

Illinois Wesleyan: 6
Carthage: 5
Millikin: 4
Augustana: 3
Elmhurst: 3
North Central: 3
Wheaton: 3
North Park: 0

IWU seems to have a pretty balanced nuceus back in terms of the returning all-conf guys:

WR Martin Ceisel (6-3, 190, FR)
RB Marcus Dunlop (5-9, 180, SO)
OL Tim Murray (6-2, 265, JR)

DB Bo Osborn (5-11, 200, SO)
DL Mike Stephens (6-4, 245, JR)

RS Eric Esch (6-1, 190, JR)

The league should be great again next year.

Just curious as to which WR you think Gant should have been chosen over?

He had more yards then Martin, and Earnest at wr. Not to mention second in all purpose yards. To answer your questions Martin

Having played against and hit all three linebackers (Pelkowski, Cichon, and Radke) I would say Pelkowski and Cichon hit harder than Radke. Yeah I know I played on the same team as those 2 but we had scrimmages, and trust me, were full go. However Radke is overall a better athlete. He is faster and makes more plays with his athletic ability.

last i checked how hard you hit isn't in the criteria for all conference. you answered your own question here by saying radtke makes more plays. i agree with that. also, giving up 300 yds rushing to wheaton didn't help. i like pelkowski a lot. i think he is a great linebacker. to be honest, i didn't pay much attention to cichon. he also didn't stick out to me in the wheaton game but i remember pelkowski from up there last year.

on Gant, i wouldn't change anything on the cciw picks but if i were drafting a team from the cciw pool he would be my 2nd reciever after spencer. thats just my opinion

Usee,

FYI, conference coaches chose Earnest unanimously for the all-conference team.

sorry, my fault. i read 'earnest' as 'gant'. pretty obvious how someone could confuse the two right? :(

i like earnest a lot, but put gant in the ncc offense and i think its big time.

Leave the weather to a higher power. ;) No, not John Thorne.

Never mind the snow flakes out there. As fair as cufan knows, it will be 65 and sunny. :D

Geez, North Central runs an offense that makes receivers drool. Add in a QB like Kniss ... Of course this is why Earnest and Studeman (2nd team TE) were honored.

the more i look at capital the more i think the cards will have their hands full. this will be the best defense they have faced all year and probably better than carthage last year. 42 sacks and 21 ints!! thats sick. they are not that big and Ric says they are very fast.

all i can say is the cardinal D better play its best game because i don't see ncc scoring many points. ncc is high powered on offense but this d is another level. i have seen this level of d by muc in alliance this past year and wheaton's offenses have been pretty good. so don't come on here saying how many points ncc will score on these guys because i can tell you it won't be many. and cap's offense is not far behind the ncc offense. they have a 6'6" reciever and a couple stud lineman to go with a very good qb.

all that and their head coach, jim collins, is former ocoordinator at iwu. he was probably one of the best offensive minds this conf has had. his offenses were all very good.

buckle up, this will not be a cakewalk.
