Well, I had thought Augie needed to play a perfect game to beat Mount.  They have been far from perfect so far, but I think they can still win this thing with a perfect half.

Let's hope that missed XP comes back to mean something.

augie is in trouble if they can't figure out how to stop someone.

Can't agree more... defense needs to make some serious adjustments at half.  Mount offense has been steam rolling.  Augie has been running very effectively, but turnovers have killed them.

Augie has a long shot but they have to play near perfect in the second half to win this.

Augie can do it!!!
It's REDMEN not RED MEN

I just got logged in.  How long was the missed FG attempt?

MUC's too good for Augie to have missed those scoring opportunuities. It's not the first time they've hurt the CCIW rep with their return game either. I think the Lakeland desperation offense (no punting) is in order for the second half. Nothing to lose and I think they have to do everything possible to keep the Mount offense on the sidelines. They've moved the ball pretty well...just too many missed opportunities.

Well, no matter who is kicking it (Clark or not)  40+ yards is never automatic.

Did I hear that Augie gets the ball to start the 2nd half?  That must mean that we won the toss and deferred.

12 first downs each...

250+ yards offense for Mount...
10 yards per rush for Mount running back...

44 plays, 172 yards rushing for Augie...
1 pass... intercepted.

Sounds like Augie is going to need more long sustained drives.  This is one area where they struggled with Lakeland.  I think that there was only 1 long drive that ate up 6+ minutes.  The Vikes has several short field scenarios that they capitalized on, but struggled with the starts deep in their territory.
