nice series for radke.....made 2 solo tackles, assisted on 2 others. i think those were his first of the game. he started, but hasnt had a chance to make many plays, lots of passing early on.

You are right, he really didnt get a chance to make a lot of plays.  I think that he held his own in the game and I remember the series you are talking about.  Does anyone know where we can find the posted stats for the game?

Goulet,

I did not hear that, but I think that would be a nice addition to the bears roster.  When I was at North Central, I remember a few times seeing a top notch hall of famer at Bar Louie with a few caucasion woman.  this hall of famer goes by the name of

Bo Jackson

If T.O. were to join the Bears how many practices would it take before Kruetz would deck him in the face?  I'm guessing after 1.5 practices when Orton gets his chance with the 1st teamers and throws the ball no where close to T.O. and T.O. goes off on Orton

bo used to come in to my old workplace a couple times a year. he wasnt the most pleasant person i've ever met.....

i wouldnt mind that acquisition for the bears......give him a 1 yr, incentive laiden deal. hopefully that would get the best out of him. he tries to fix his reputation during that year.......tries to earn his money......and tries to get himself a big contract.....aaaaand ends up helping the bears win the super bowl. then he leaves after that 1 yr, signs a long term deal somewhere else....reverts back to the old TO and ruins their team.

gosh would that be something.....rex grossman goes down.....orton has to play....what do you think the line would be in vegas on the # of snaps it would take before TO ripped orton's head off.....and then got his head ripped off by kruetz. it's a battle royale!!

seems like we ( the CCIW) are just magnets for hall of famers.  ;D
I think T.O. is a great talent, but he's attitude and image just don't fit my fancy.  If there's a way to have him shut up and play, then I would say ok to him playing for the Bears.
I used to run into Mike Ditka at a Restaurant called Nightingale's on the North Shore and Mike Singletary in Barrington.
I noticed not only is Elmhurst playing @Olivet in Week 3, Ill. Wesleyan is opening up the season at home vs. the Comets.

I posted this over on the MIAA board.  Don't know what kind of response I will get, but some good info might be exchanged.

Taking a look at next year's schedule, the usual MIAA vs CCIW clashes are taking shape.  Looks like Olivet is playing both Illinois Wesleyan and Elmhurst.  Both Albion and Hope are taking on Wheaton.

Since Wheaton has played Hope frequently over the past 10 years or so and Albion was the Pool A from the MIAA, I am at least familiar with them.  However, I have not heard much about Olivet.  Are they still playing the single wing?  I think like 2 years ago they had a mammoth rushing attack?

79jaybird

Matt Blake-- How is Olivet's Team ( in your view)?  I noticed they weren't very good 4-5 years ago, however recently they have been at or above 500.  Very similar to Elmhurst and if they do play single wing, that is very similar to Elmhurst's Offense also.
Wheaton vs. Albion should be a dandy!  Is that at Wheaton or Albion?
Also, how far (time wise) is Albion from Elmhurst because I'm not sure we will be able to travel with the team....broadcasters and media are the last to be given a spot.  I'm guessing allow 4 hours + time zone difference?

When I was at Wheaton as a wrestler we wrestled at Olivet every year and it is right around 4 hours or so plus the time change.  That was driving in a van, so it might be a little longer since busses can be a little slower.

The Wheaton/Albion game is at Wheaton.  I have to say that should be a pretty interesting match-up.

Mugsy

I believe after a break out year 2 years ago for Olivet, where they switched to the wing-t offense and rushed all over everyone in MIAA, this past year they dropped it and reverted back to another offensive schema.  Not sure if the o-coordinator left or what... or if it was a key to why they dropped back to 4-5 season.

Dominic Livedoti is the Olivet Head Coach and I think he is beginning his 3rd year with the Team.  It appears they have a hodgepodge of players ( class level wise) and lost some talented Seniors from last year's squad.
