Jay's unique and interesting broadcasts can be picked up in Lombard/Glen Ellyn and parts of Wheaton.  He always has a sidekick who tries hard but is no match for the man in Blue!  The half-time talk about the CCIW and the score updates are good too.

By the way Formercard, love the picture. Brings tranquility to the page.

Tailgater,
Now you are catching on!  Two posts for the price of one! ;D  Use lots of P.S.'s and "By the Ways," and you will be there in no time! ;) ;)

Hey RedmanFB44! Hope your off-season has treated you well. I haven't got time right now to expound on some thoughts to answer your question, but suffice it for now to say there is alot to be optimistic about. Your noting of the large senior class speaks volumns. As you know many of those guys have been contributors over most of their College careers. Think back to your senior year and remember the many sophomores who were a big part of that magical season. Last year Carthage lost 3 games. Only one of those losess was a sound defeat (Wheaton). Carthage wrestled the lead from NC with a little over 6 minutes left in the game then blewup down the stretch. Augie escaped Kenosha with a 7-0 win. The Redmen had their chances in the red zone late and could not convert. Needless to say this group can win games. Now it's time to win the big games again like in 2004.

Being over 1000 miles away from Bloomington now and not being able to see first hand, does anyone have any good thoughts on all the returning starters IWU brings back this year?  Are they returning a good bunch of experience or are they just returning subpar athletes that will fair the same as the last few years?
Hail, Hail, the gang's all here, all out for Wesleyan!

April/diehard--You're residing in CA now?? Wow!  I think when we met you were living in Virginia.
Yes, the conventional radio is not the best way to hear our games.  The station has boosted the power, but it is still not as strong as WONC.  I think Wheaton's and Elmhurst's campus stations are pretty close (88.x)  which might explain why it is harder to hear in Wheaton.  My Sister has been able to hear the games as far away from Elmhurst as Woodfield Mall.   I tell my friends/listeners to tune into the Internet for the most clarity.
I think when we met I was still in school? :P And yeah, I'm living in SoCal...we sort of have football out here. I mean, Andrew King came from Cali!  And he's one of my favorite Wheaton receivers of all time. That counts for something, right??? I've actually never been to a SCIAC football game... but I'm hoping it's not like SCIAC basketball, or I'm going to be pretty disappointed.

Wheaton's radio station is 88.1 so yeah, close, but not extremely close either. It is close to getting to NCC as well as Elmhurst, but fizzles out as you near the gym too.

I win, I'm further. I think the rule should be that you should know more than me in proportion to how many miles less away you are. :)

Tailgater-
Yes the soph. class my senior year was a HUGE part of our long run that year. I know the offensive line will be very expeirenced which will be good for a young QB who I think will be a very good one. The defense is doing a little rebuilding but I know the defensive co. will have that group working well together he always does. Im hoping to come up there for 2 games this year any suggestions?

GO REDMEN!!!
