Vikes35-- Right.  Incorporating more passes keeps the defense honest, not to mention more "exciting" football than running every play/every down.

Please insult me (or this post) or throw a barb or something -- for old time's sake, if anything.  All these pleasantries, measured, unemotional responses and lovey-dovey chit-chat are making me sick. I'm dying over here.

Just speaking for myself here, but I don't ever want Augie to throw more for entertainment reasons. If putting it up helps them win games, I'm all for it but that should be the only reason--winning games. I'm probably in the minority on this because a lot of people consider the ground game boring. I, on the other hand, consider a well executed running play as the most beautiful thing in football (again, probably in the minority). Just my two cents.

Kill 'em with kindness, that's my motto.  ;D

Seriously though, this board has changed a lot in the past couple of years. I would argue that it's for the better, and more actual discussion of d3 that is worthwile to the reader goes on now. But the trash talking was sorta entertaining.... not going to lie.

Where is Titan Booster, aside from the fact that he was funny... it would be really easy to make fun of him right now! :)

I actually enjoy sacks and interceptions the most (as long as your team is the one on defense!!!) but that's just because I understand that defense is more important than offense... right Mugsy?  ;D

You probably enjoy a well excuted run for the same reason that I enjoy well executed punt and kickoff returns so much.... watching someone just completely stop a defender in their tracks is a beautiful, beautiful sight to behold.

I have sweatshirts and shoes beyond her years - does that grant me wisdom? ;D

As to the defense cliche, I've always liked Yogi's baseball equivalent: "good pitching always beats good hitting, and vice versa".

Seems that way!  And I'm basically an IWU bball fan - in the pick-em's I will PROBABLY still pick them over NPU, but otherwise I have thrown in the towel.

IWU has always been more a bball than fball school, but they seem to have become a friggin' Duke! ;D

LOL...  wisdom maybe, but not fashion sense.  (not that it make a difference to me either) ;D
