Actually it's 3 in 2 years if you count the fiasco with the baseball coach!!  Check out the CCIW baseball site and go back to around April to see the joke that was Clark Jones, former baseball coach at Elmhurst!

I agree with YOU and think that EC (or any) coaches should be posting on the board.
Simple fact remains, that if you are spending a lot of time on this board, and worried about what others say and do,  then your insecurities are plain to see, and (more than likely) you won't be happy with your results.

Comet14-- Well, here in the NW suburbs of Chicago I haven't see the sun in 3 days!!  
It has been off and on heavy rain, with a huge blanket of grey.  NW Indiana is flooding and all the reasons why I don't like Fall are showing.  However,  Saturday is supposed to be 80 degrees and pleasant.  I look forward to a glorious sunny day for football this Saturday. 8)

just wanted to check on my karma.  NC needs to destroy benedictine, beat Wash U, then be prepared for a tough wheaton squad and try and keep the bell in naperville, where blackouts are expected on saturday night.

I was briefly looking at Wheaton's schedule.  After 2 home games to open up the year,  4 of their next 5 are on the road and 5 of their next 7 are on the road after the first two games
@Hope (tough game, but I think Thunder win it)
@Millikin (don't see the Thunder having any trouble)
NC  (good battle for Little Brass Bell I think this is an even matchup)
@Augie  (always tough to win in RI)
@NPU (Thunder prevail)
Elmhurst (another good battle at Wheaton)

NC has a stretch now of 5 of their next 8 games are on the road.  Everybody has to deal with scheduling and bottom line- have to play fundamental fb to win.

....see....that's really all i've got.....at least when the games come on i can play by play....but during the week i'm relegated to weak posts and incoherent ramblings. i must say though, i enjoy this board a LOT more than the illiniboard. if you guys want a good laugh, head over to the scout.com illini message board for basketball.....check out the eric gordon threads. unreal.

At least Wheaton plays at home for the LBB this year.  Last year's game was weird - overwhelming play in the first half and some shots-in-the-foot in the second half (along with the Card's stepped up play).

Jaybird, you guys have played Chicago 4 times in the past 4 years.  I was thinking about if I remember Wheaton ever playing the Maroons in football (Wheaton does compete with them in soccer and basketball frequently).  It appears that Wheaton hasn't played Chicago in football in over 50 years.  I wonder why?

Hi Hiker, I hope you are doing well.

Wheaton played Chicago during their "early era" back in 1896.
Chicago won 47-0 which is there only meeting.
The Chicago/Elmhurst game has been a nice "local" rivalry which has been extended for 4 more years, 2006 being the 1st of this new contract.
I remember talking to you about the possibility of creating a CCIW book, similar to that MIAA book I showed  you in the booth.  I think if we put our minds together, we could make that happen.  I would look forward to creating something like that.
