jee thanks fellas.

i'm pretty sure my karma was so low because i didnt post enough....everyone thought i was slighting the board by not dropping in daily and laying my infinite amount of knowledge down......*cough*.....ya.

movin up baby!

CCIW basketball board is a tough place to keep karma.  I would post a simple sentence or two and get whacked a ton.  Guess they don't like the football people in there!  :)

Jaybird, you guys have played Chicago 4 times in the past 4 years.  I was thinking about if I remember Wheaton ever playing the Maroons in football (Wheaton does compete with them in soccer and basketball frequently).  It appears that Wheaton hasn't played Chicago in football in over 50 years.  I wonder why?
I can't say about 30 years ago, but in the past 20 I would think that Wheaton would not schedule UC, because they would have not been much competition for the crusaders.  Oops I mean the thunders

c'mon guys.  Who gives a hoot whether you are a coach, player, alien, or Raggedy Ann Doll  ???

Players certainly should not be posting. Coaches should identify themselves as coaches. If they don't, they should be given a lifetime ban.

And, heck, if I know a coach is hanging around, that's a plus for my team especially if we play them this week or next. You really think a coach can contribute to a game plan if he's trying to figure out all the logic here.  And it's kinda late but I would have waited until the week when NCC plays Elmhurst and posted a lot of junk about non-existent injuries, new formations, and lineup changes.  ;)

30 years ago, football was not an intercollegiate sport at UC. It was just a club. It was really odd being recruited to play club football. CCIW schools would never play a football club.

I trip up on the Crusaders/Thunder name all the time.

Joe Bear you know if they took us to California to play there would have been chaos.

Very True, I am sure that Coach Rucks was smart enough to know that he could not take us anyplace!!!  I'm sure that he was Very Very worried about what was going on every time we stayed over night for an away game!!!

Do you remember the time he told us how he was at the grocery store and some guy came up to him to complain how we beat him up at a bar the night before?  ;D
Things have changed at Carthage!  I am sure he sleeps a little bit easier now!

Goulet,

When do I get to start dishing out some positive karma

I can't remember if it was at 250 or 300 posts.

Fatalimpact-- Not sure on who Elmhurst will start Saturday.  I will find out tomorrow (Friday) when I have my usual pre-game talk with Coach Journell.  Mike LaFleur and Joseph Behar played well after Kudyba was injured.  I guess we will see on Saturday.

Karma-- I believe it is 200 posts that gives you the ability to dish out / take away Karma from one another.

It is Thursday afternoon (by a few minutes) and I am starting to get excited for this weekends games.  I am particularly interested in the Wheaton game (homer reasons) and the IWU and Millikin games.  I picked both IWU and Millikin to lose, but wins would signify much more firepower than originally thought and mean that the Big Blue and Titans are forces to be reckoned with.

So I have to post 200 times before I can retaliate against Crappy posters?

whoa... just beggin' to get your karma slammed by some in reference to "crappy posters"!   :o

(Not me in this case... just a poor attempt at levity.  Others are much more adept at humor than I.)
