Very true, the visiting locker rooms were horrible and the home locker rooms were even worse until they built the TARC Center.  They have CARPET!  Can you imagine?  We didn't even have a locker room that could house the whole team. We had two separate locker rooms and the lockers were so small...How small where they??? They were so small that we could not fit our helmets or shoulder pads in them.  They were hung on a pipe above the locker.
REDMAN FB44 you don't how much better you had it.  We had to walk to school uphill both ways, in 10 feet of snow and no shoes!   ;D

Very true my freshman year was the first year that the TARC was open so I guess I was a little spoiled. The facilities in the TARC at Carthage are amazing and now they are redoing the older part (basketball court) and hey maybe even the visitor's locker room  :D
Interesting... when is that supposed to be completed? This year sometime?

Besides isn't it an unwritten rule that if a poster from an opposing school opens themselves up for ridicule, it is manditory that they are mocked and made sport of?
Amen, Hallelujah!  ;)

Mugsy,
So you played without a helmet?  That explains a lot!! ;D
It does! It explains why he made the mistake of going to grad school at NCC!!! Hahhahahah.... :D :P

Pshh.... clearly the decision was made after some significant brain damage (sorry mugsy, ;) ).... Whereas the Wheaton decision was made with all his mental capacities still in tact. You call that second decision getting it right? Are you saying you have to be brain damaged to understand the logic of going to NCC ??? :P

Just admit my joke was good. Come on, you know you can... :P

LOL...

I love you guys.  :-*

The weather forecast isn't great for Saturday's game up in Kenosha.  Off and on rain showers.  Hopefully those are gone by gametime.
Redmen-- I think FatalImpact is just going on a hunch and/or perhaps he flipped a coin and made up his mind that way.  I think you're wasting your time trying to figure out a "reason" behind his thinking.
If you look back, Carthage has steadily been improving for the past few years. Similar to North Central.  When I played at Elmhurst,  EC/Car/NC  were not very good and in the bottom 1/3 of the conference.  Now these three are starting to work their way up the rungs of the ladder.  I think this weekend's game is going to be similar to the EC/NC, Car/NC  games.  These 3 teams are so equal on paper, that I don't think there is a favorite.  IMO, right now Wheaton looks to be a little better than these 3 teams, but who knows??  Any given Saturday.

Somebody mentioned this a few pages back and I was thinking along the same lines.  As we all know, the CCIW this year is not as strong as it has been recently. If we beat each other up in conference play,  I wonder if we may NOT get that 2nd bid into the NCAA Tournament.  I think this is a luxury we have come to expect (getting that 2nd team in), but this year I wonder.  ???

if we have an undefeated champ (or 1 loss champ) and a 1 loss runner up i would think its pretty likely we would get 2. that of course limits our options to 2 of wheaton, carthage, elmhurst and the naperville school. (any of the others can run the table in conference for the AQ of course).

Elmhurst

6-4 2005
Carthage

2001 3-7
2002 6-4
2003 7-3
2004 7-3
2005 9-2 NCAA's

So all 3 schools are slowly rising up into quality programs.

Jaybird, you keep wanting to include elmhurst with the other two but they are simply not there yet. the other two have been to the playoffs and knocked off the conf champs. until elmhurst does so they are not on a par with the other two. the table is set for that to happen this year.

good question. i have no idea. i hope so. maybe one of the carthage faithful knows

79jaybird

Usee-- I guess we disagree, which is ok  that's what the board is for.  ;D
From what I have seen/called from the booth, all 3 teams have been relatively equal the last few years.  The only team that has stood out in recent years as being "advanced' (for lack of a better word)  has been Wheaton.
I agree with you that the table is set for these 3 to jump ahead.

Yes,  Irish21 emailed me over the Summer and we talked about our MSL connection (Fremd/Prospect), and then I lost contact with him.  Hopefully he will be at the game this weekend.
