T-I-T A-N-S  Titans! Titans! Are the best.  GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO TITANS!

I'm trying feebly to change the board back from Wheaton vs NCC to a CCIW board.  I really don't think it's gonna happen this week tho.  But a man can try!  ;)

RedmenFB44-

You still around or have your hamstring injuries hampered you from getting online?  What do you think of the game this weekend? ???
Don't worry!  Weenie week is my favorite week of the year!

Titanbacker-- This week the talk is "The Little Brass Bell" one of the best d3 traveling trophies around and not to mention, a rivalry game between Wheaton and NC.
Last week the talk was about Elmhurst and Carthage whom are arch rivals.
Looking forward to a good battle between the perennial strong Vikings and the up and coming Jays this Saturday at Langhorst Field.

You can only say this because Wheaton finally changed their mascot to the Thunder from a reference to a medieval slaughter of thousands of innocent people.

Wait, that also doesn't sound as good as it did in my head.  What is with me today?

yeah... I kinda glossed over that in my mind.   :-[

That was pretty weak by my standards!   I looked every which way for something to hold Thunder in a negative light and I failed miserably.  :-[

For the record...I have held the brass bell.  So i'm pretty sure that CardAlum's picture isn't any older than 9 years.

Wait, that doesn't sound as good as it did in my head.

Every time Mr. Sager posts I am reminded that I really need to change my profile quote.  The depth and breadth of my history knowledge pales in comparison.
No, yours is totally appropriate. I know all about 80's CCIW football thanks to you.

Greg's tag line needs to be "I know ALL of the complely random and utterly ridiculously obscure facts in the ENTIRE WORLD."   ;D ;)

Did you guys know that the Cardinal is the state bird of 7 states? I was pretty disappointed to learn that in fourth grade state history project...

and yes, that does mean that the cardinal is the state bird in my home state.  :-[ :D

No worries Jaybird.  I do know of the tradition it holds but being an alum of another CCIW school, it's always fun to put a good word in and see how the rest of the games are going to go.

Plus, i'm trying to play to the crowds out in the world that dont' post but read instead.  What can i say, I like to bring happiness to all with little quips here and there!   ;D

And DHF, is the new pic of you?  If so, I know why RedmenFB44 isn't posting as much.  He probably had a coronary from your good looks!! ;)

My dog is absolutely terrified by thunder - during major storms we have to give her 'doggie tranquilizers'.  We could always report Wheaton to the ASPCA! ;D

My dog says they are a 'terrorist organization', so maybe 'Homeland Security'. ;)

Don't you remember? We're not friends this week... as evidenced by the fact that you sent me a rude PM saying that my cookies are more attractive than me.  :P

While I am almost completely absorbed in thoughts of the many ways Wheaton is going to succeed in ringing the bell at about 4:30pm on Saturday, it does not mean that I am not very intrigued by the Elmhurst/Augie game.  That game has huge ramifications.  Is Elmhurst truly a major contender?  Will Augie return to the level of play almost everyone expects of them or will they slip further out of contention for this year?  There are a lot of elements of interest in that game... I'm just too preoccupied with the game in Wheaton.  If others where to post about the Elmhurst/Augie game, I'm sure others would chime in.
