The constant references to North Central College as the "naperville school" are really dreogatory and insulting.

Considering that it's 'bell' week, I'm quite sure that was the intent!

It's just  that I expected that Wheaton College, with all their ties to Bill Graham, the four on the floor rules, and the code of conduct would be better than that. I'd expect that from Elmhurst and Carthage, but not from Wheaton.

This weekend I think the pressure is on Augie.  Elmhurst has nothing to lose and is playing very consistently on defense.  They shut down a very good Carthage team and have won 2 straight on the road.  This IMO gives them momentum that they can transfer to the Augie game.  
Beating Carthage was a big step.  Now a larger step awaits in Augie, and we will get a clearer picture of this year's Bluejays based upon their performance Sat.  I still have a pretty good feeling about this weekend's game.
The pressure has to be on Augie.  They were picked to be #1 and haven't played like a #1 team yet.  They are also on the road which makes it even more difficult than if the game were in Rock Island.
Talked to Coach Swider today.  He is always a fun guy to sit and talk about football/life with.

nobody's talking about the Millikin/North Park game.  I think this is going to be closer than what one might think on paper.  What if North Park is able to control Wallick?  North Park showed they were able to fight (at least for a half) against North Central.
While I think Millikin is going to win this game, I would be interested to see what others think is going to be the key(s) to the game this Saturday.

Hehe, I couldn't help but chuckle at that one.
Actually if I remember correctly (and April help me on this one), we went to go see a musical group perform on campus for awhile.  I think they were playing the blues because that is what North Central is going to be singing after Saturday. 
I think NC's losses on offense are going to hurt and the Wheaton defense helps them win the game.
BTW, April how do I get your cookies?  My family used to call me the "cookie monster" because I would watch Sesame Street eating cookies & milk.

There's nothing playful about it(at least this week!)  Mugsy and I have "bonded" if that's what you want to call it because we played against each other for a couple of years back in the Stone Age.  DHF has joined in because Mugsy couldn't handle me alone!    Plus, I heard about the great cookies(which I have ZERO chance of seeing right now!).

Hey, Scooby-Doo helped me get through college!  Give me credit it was high school, perhaps Junior High with Sesame Street.  
I think NC is  great team.  I also think Wheaton is a great team.  When I called the Albion/Wheaton game, I was impressed with the way the Thunder's D-Line just suffocated the Albion QB who had great receivers open downfield, but no time b/c the Thunder won the line battle.  I see the same factors in this game.  You have the best QB in the Cards offense, but Studebaker and the Wheaton defense is a tough pill to swallow. Who knows??  Lord knows I have been wrong before.

I think the CCIW is stacked from top to bottom which is very exciting.  No more creampuffs in the conference and each week is a good battle.
