Alas, barring the unexpected, they will be back in front by 15-20 pages and 150-200 posts by the end of the Stagg Bowl!  But for now we are only 4 posts back. ;)

Clean sweep for the Cardinals in the player of the week honors!  Congrats!

Incredibly exciting week to be a Cardinal fan!  To be in a position to have a piece of the conference championship and a possible playoff berth is a great feeling!  Nobody else has chimed in on what I said yesterday, but I really am concerned about Augie winning down in Decatur.  Carthage will come ready to play with whomever they line up with.

I'm all for high goals; I'm also a realist!  I DID say unexpected, not impossible! ;D

Mr. Ypsi

AND, unless they beat me to the 'post' key, with this post we take the lead! ;)

To me the game in Decatur is the tightest game to call this week.

Will Augie set aside the fact they aren't in-line for post season play and no living up to the preseason expectations and lay it on the line?  Or will they continue to struggle to put it all together?

Millikin is coming off a significant road upset win over Elmhurst.  It has been a season of tough losses to solid teams (Wheaton, ONU, Wabash, etc...).  A few things go differently and they would be sitting 6-3 instead of 3-6.  Will Millikin come out and play the spoiler and finish off the season strong, or will it be yet another tough loss in a tough season?

Should be interesting in the downstate rivalry.

Tailgater...when I was talking to Tim about the Carthage kids last spring, I told him Cleo was the spitting image of Randal Baker. Cleo and Jeff got some significant playing time this season - very valuable to a freshman. If they stay healthy, things will be very interesting in Kenosha the next three seasons. Busse is a terrific linebacker and Zamin is very fast. These four kids know how to win!

Alum...there are some Fremd seniors that will fit very well in the CCIW.

But...my first loyalty is to Tim and the Redmen.

I think Coach Thorne has a pretty good pipeline to DIII talent in the Chicago area!
