Ugh, what's going on here?  This is the first week of the playoffs, we got 2 teams in.  Let's hear some football talk.  I'll get it going.........Wheaton's kicker Ellingsen is 5-9 in field goals this year.  Not sure on his range.  How does the average field goal kicking affect Wheaton's game plan.  For example, ball on the 13 yard line, 4th and 2.  Does Wheaton kick or do they go for it?

I'm sure there will be plenty of chatter in here as the all conference teams are announced later today.

I second you on that..look for Kniss to Repeat, Studebaker to begin his 2 year reign and Thorne to get his first COY honor.

FishHack,  I understand where you are coming from and what your point(s) is.  The way you word it sometimes makes the receiver feel uneasy (for lack of better term).

I just want to say Good Luck to Wheaton and North Central this weekend. Represent the CCIW well.

Hey, my favorite Center is in the house!! Keep this up and we'll have the entire O-line from Carthage on board! Great Career my friend. My fingers are crossed for you as the All-conference bids are sorted out today. Regardless, you are tops in my book!

I must say that I have historically not been a huge fan of Carthage or its players based on some instances that occurred during my playing days.

However, I have been very impressed with the recently retired Carthage players who have posted on this site.  You have posted with class and integrity and I for one appreciate it....so welcome to the board, welcome to the days of lamenting a career gone bye, and welcome to the next chapter of your lives.

Wow, thats deep.  I always thought Carthage was great because all the fans were hammered on the hill during the game.

With the exception being Wheaton, I think all schools have at least 5-10 either current students or Alumni that might be a little "sloshy"  at the football games.   ;)

Interesting tidbit.  Wheaton has won or shared 4 of the last 5 CCIW Titles and 5 of the last 7.  Can you smell a mini-Dynasty under HC Swider  brewing?

Well, im glad that im your favorite center, hopefully the cciw coaches feel the same. I too hope we can get the entire O-line. I think we could get a lot out of having us all here and we hopefully could provide some useful inside information
These are as good as money, these are IOU's

Whoever wins COY between (probably) Thorne or Swider, there couldn't be two nicer guys and two great coaches. I don't mean this as a slight to Augustana fans as I don't know Jim Barnes that well.
