MatBlake-- I was referring to the CCIW with the mini-Dynasty.  4 of the last 5 and 5 of the last 7 won and/or shared,  is mini-dominance if you ask me.  If you are judging by beating MUC then there are only 2-3 teams in the last 5-6 years that are in that caliber.
Congratulations to all the All-Conference and Mike Swider for COY honors.  All are well deserved.
I don't think John Thorne really cares whether or not we was to win COY honors, because he knows all that matters is his team is continuing their season in Milwaukee this Saturday.
Lastly, I see GoThunder is back to his antics again.  Dude, think before you write!

and if Sulo gets a solid QB in, he could be the early frontrunner for the OPOY.

I think Zach Ullrich (QB Wheaton) will have something to say about that.  8)

Even better than sending 2 teams to Mt Union would be a rematch at E. McCully field in the regional final!! :o :o

Is McGinnis at Augie returning next year?  If so,  I think he will also be in the runner for OPOY at QB.

USEE,

Amen to that.  It would great to see the North Region championship between 2 CCIW teams.  I must say though, from what I have heard about the Mount, it would be very tough.
Ullrich will be in a good position to compete for the OPOY,  I agree very much with this statement.

****Does the selection of Mckinney as a 1st teamer over Toal (2nd team) at LB surprise you at all.  Toal seemed to have better OVERALL stats and he was a senior?

The carthage offense needs to finish better than 6th out of 8 teams if that's going to happen. O'Boyle is a good player but he needs some help to get there.

I doubt it. He would have to put up Roe type numbers for that. and he hasn't come close.

I was surprised by this. But Toal mised a couple games and Mckinney was a playmaker. If this happened its because Coach Swider put them up that way so there isn't much to argue.

Congrats to all of the all-CCIW selections especially those that post here and lurk here.  Of course, I want to congratulate all of the Cardinals that were honored as well.  I am pleasantly surprised that so many were chosen.  Coach Swider deserved the COY, but Coach Thorne had a great year as well.  Studebaker was an animal and deserved the DPOY.  Kniss, what else can you say about him?  The best QB in school history has been a blessing for the NCC program.

Congrats to Glassman and Keil on their all-conference selections. I know from experience that these two are great football players and great people. Congrats again!

Thought it was very interesting that Brandon Fox from Carthage was left off. He is one of the best LB's in the league. Teams have to know where he is at all times on the field. I don' know if his stats showed that this year but that was because teams were keying on him. Just thought that was interesting.
