North Central avenges 1 of their last 3 losses. They'll have a chance to get back at Capitol next weekend......and who knows, maybe Wheaton beats Mt. Union and North Central can get a shot at them and avenge the last 3 losses that they've suffered.

wheaton wins 42-28. horrible finish by the thunder. they turned it over 5x I think in this game. they were up 42-6 and stopped playing. some backups were in but a lot of the starters still. If they are this careless with the ball next week they have no chance of a respectable showing. One bad call looked like chupp was in the endzone on a qb sneak and the ref said he fumbled the ball to msj. I don't know how you fumble in the other teams endzone but that's what happened. when you don't take care of the ball that's the kind of stuff that happens. congrats on a playoff win but this game is tainted by the carelessness of the wheaton offense.

Iitersagen had 3 huge punt returns, the final one for a 78 yd td. he is pretty fast. the wheaton D looked good the first half and then msj made some plays and the wheaton team went to sleep.

dissappointing finish for the thunder. congrats to the cardinals on an expected victory.

wheaton running game looked good against a stout run defense. chaz black had 137 yds on 22 carries. chupp was 9-15 for 143. wheaton gained 385 yds. wheaton defense gave up 290 yds to msj in the 2nd half to go along w 28 pts.

Adding to waht usee said, Wheaton going to the 2nd string really showed.  This is after all, play-off football, and MSJ is no pushover.  Against our 2 guys, MSJ put some stuff together.  In hindsight, MSJ should have played their back-up quarterback (#3) much, much sooner.  He has a much better eye for throwing the ball, notwithstanding the fact that he is a bit on the slow side.

The CCIW represnted very well today.  I love turning heads around the nation with such lopsided scores!  Congrats to both the Cards and the Thunder for their efforts against 2 of the 32 best teams in the nation!  Lets see how we do in the sweet 16.  Now, lets take it to Capital and Mount Union in this CCIW/OAC showdown and really solidify ourselves as the premier football conference in the nation!

I was at the Wheaton game today and even though Wheaton started off slow, they controled the first half and into the 3rd quater. Ittersagen was all over the place and both Studebaker brothers caused problems all day for MSJ's offense. MSJ's offense only generaed 106 yards in the first half and only got going to score 28 starting at the end of the 3rd quarter.  I know people will say that Wheaton gave up 28 points but they did have the game well in hand and in the playoffs the only stat that matters in the W column.

I also wanted to thank of all the Wheaton fans for making ekeil, tailgater and myself welcome at the game today. Numerous Wheaton fans came up to us during the game to thank us for our support of the conference and to congradualate myself and ekeil on our all conference selections. As the Coaches at Carthage say......its First Class or No Class, thank you to Wheaton and thier fans for welcoming me and being classy, it made for a great enviroment.

If I could, +Karma for Wheaton fans and also for NCC fans because I was wrong about my prediction (I am very very glad that I am wrong)

I was asking who #4 was the entire 4th quarter as i was too cheap for the 4 dollar program as he was called for very blatant pass interference on at least 2 plays that kept msj alive and led to them scoring a lot of points in the 4 th quarter.  He never turned around to find the ball and they will call that all day.
Now I found out was G. Burns, the male model in seventeen, who got burned, no pun intended.  
Intersagen was just incredible no matter where he played.   Msj learned it was better to punt out of bounds short, than to allow him a return and to keep the passes out of his area.  
MSJ coaching staff should get an "A" for bringing in Dreyer and coco #37 who tore it up for their team.  But an "F" for not doing it sooner.  Never did see their leading rusher or starting qb in 2nd half.

I was just going to say that only thing matters was the W in playoffs and also now with limited roster you gotta rest your horses and not take chance of injury for the next game.
